This is our second stay and I am at a loss for words. Shadetree is so special;peaceful;gorgeous yet 100 percent natural. There are FLOCKS of cardinals outside your door . This is South Louisiana at its best. The Mississippi is a short walk away.. You can hear the pipe organs from the paddle boats at night.

Most comfortable and peaceful B&B I've ever stayed at. The proprietor was so kind and helpful, and the room was incredible. We stayed in "The Loft," and had a very restful time. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

My husband and I stayed three days at the Shadetree Inn from March 18 - 21st and loved every minute! We stayed in the Sun Porch which has a large, elevated deck overlooking the beautiful acreage filled with wildflowers, trees, and birds. There is even a place for deer. The owner and our host, KW Kennon, is a very special... More

Our stay here was way better than we expected. We stayed in The Loft and was surprised with the personal touches in the room. Fresh flowers and bath salts, cocktails and cookies, cheese dip and an extra fan. Fresh squeezed orange juice and a journal with notes from past guests. Fire pit was going each night and I adored sitting... More

Here is why: I love it so much. I have stayed here since 1998 and it is a magnificent place to retreat to nature and escape the big city. The rooms are plush, the decorating is gorgeous and the setting can't be beat! It is always a pleasure to stay here, always. It has been one of my favorite places... More

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at this absolutely wonderful Inn recently and we loved it so much that I really could not do it justice in this short piece. I believe the optimal word would have to be "magical." Other reviewers have well described the nice features of the Inn so I will just add one.... More

My husband and I stayed at the Gardener's Cottage for a few nights as part of our honeymoon trip. It was simply idylic. The Cottage itself is warm, comfortable and cosy and beautifully decorated. Having a veranda to ourselves and use of the outdoor fire pit was a real treat. The host/owner was so welcoming, friendly and helpful, he could... More

We spent a delightful evening at the Shadetree Inn in charming St. Francisville. We've stayed in numerous bed and breakfasts over the years, and this was one of the most enjoyable and relaxing. It is located in a corner of the Historic District on several acres overlooking a steep hill which leads down to a levee which provides a walk... More

We stayed only one night in the loft and it was fabulous. This is heaven plopped right down in the middle of a small town. It feels like you are out in the country. We walked way back into the swamp area, it was beautiful. We saw a fox even. The birds are beautiful and plentiful as K.W. feeds them... More

By the time my husband and I arrived at Shadetree Inn, we had already stayed at what we thought were the best B& B's in Louisiana and Natchez Mississippi . To our surprise nothing could prepare us for the beauty we experienced at Shadetree Inn . This is Gods country . So peaceful and serene . I am so glad... More
