While in Natchitoches on LTPA (Louisiana Travel Promotion Association) business, I visited the Samuel Guy House with a group of travel professionals. We did not stay overnight since we were too large of a group, but we had a tour of the property with the owner Payne. Fabulous place off the main street next to the historic cemetery. Beautiful, well... More

We stayed in the Lands End room. We were able to view all the rooms and i would stay again in any of them. Comfortable, clean, large room with king bed and desk area. Breakfast was elegant and Delicious!! Nice conversation and company over breakfast. Location is at end of street next to American Cemetary so its quiet. Parking is... More

Natchitoches Bed and Breakfast establishments are absolutely wonderful! They do it right! Because I live in Louisiana I have the opportunity to travel across our wonderful Louisiana often, so this is an informed review, y'all! This weekend my cousin and I did a relaxing girls' weekend at the beautiful, historic Samuel Guy House--truly a special place. The history and restoration... More

This B&B stay was a highlight of our trip through Louisiana and is among our top B&B stays. The setting is toward the end of a street so it's very quiet. It snuggles up against a graveyard so that adds to the quiet. A small garden behind the house invites contemplative walking. We were originally booked into a room on... More

The Samuel Guy House was a terrific experience. The house is Beautiful and historical. Super clean, and spacious. I stayed in the Willow room, and it was huge with a private bath. The Innkeeper Ms. Theresa was lovely. I had mentioned that I was arriving on a motorcycle and she left a phamplet on my dresser detailing scenic rides close... More

First Anniversary, celebrated with daughter and Husband-Went on the STEEL MAGNOLIA TOUR. (AWESOME). Samuel Guy House was very pretty, had lots of collectibles stashed in glass cabinets. the Rooms were Gorgeous. Nice and Quiet. However, breakfast was uncomfortable. Innkeeper talked about a family member's suicide and started crying while standing at our table. its was awkward..

Driving through Louisiana without a lot of history and only seeing it from the interstate I was so excited to have this town as a recommendation. We're getting wiser and stopping at visitor centers and we had the brochure and recommendation on this B&B. We travel a lot but this is really special to walk into such a museum of... More

My husband and I visited in July. It is a beautiful home run by Theresa. She is a treasure and an excellent cook. Breakfast was delicious. She told us the interesting history of the house. Accommodations were very clean. Rocking chairs to relax in. Lovely gardens. Quiet location.

If I were a professional travel writer, I could write volumes about the Samuel Guy House AND hostess extraordinaire Theresa. My wife and I have enjoyed this weekend than any in a long, long time...& nothing was going on in town! The house. Immaculate Gardens. Rocking chairs. Swings. Back (and front) porches. Bird chirps. Insects. Even the train's whistle. A... More
