This B&B stay was a highlight of our trip through Louisiana and is among our top B&B stays. The setting is toward the end of a street so it's very quiet. It snuggles up against a graveyard so that adds to the quiet. A small garden behind the house invites contemplative walking. We were originally booked into a room on... More

The Samuel Guy House was a terrific experience. The house is Beautiful and historical. Super clean, and spacious. I stayed in the Willow room, and it was huge with a private bath. The Innkeeper Ms. Theresa was lovely. I had mentioned that I was arriving on a motorcycle and she left a phamplet on my dresser detailing scenic rides close... More

First Anniversary, celebrated with daughter and Husband-Went on the STEEL MAGNOLIA TOUR. (AWESOME). Samuel Guy House was very pretty, had lots of collectibles stashed in glass cabinets. the Rooms were Gorgeous. Nice and Quiet. However, breakfast was uncomfortable. Innkeeper talked about a family member's suicide and started crying while standing at our table. its was awkward..

Driving through Louisiana without a lot of history and only seeing it from the interstate I was so excited to have this town as a recommendation. We're getting wiser and stopping at visitor centers and we had the brochure and recommendation on this B&B. We travel a lot but this is really special to walk into such a museum of... More

My husband and I visited in July. It is a beautiful home run by Theresa. She is a treasure and an excellent cook. Breakfast was delicious. She told us the interesting history of the house. Accommodations were very clean. Rocking chairs to relax in. Lovely gardens. Quiet location.

If I were a professional travel writer, I could write volumes about the Samuel Guy House AND hostess extraordinaire Theresa. My wife and I have enjoyed this weekend than any in a long, long time...& nothing was going on in town! The house. Immaculate Gardens. Rocking chairs. Swings. Back (and front) porches. Bird chirps. Insects. Even the train's whistle. A... More

We spent two nights and three days at the Samuel Guy house. Our group of 12 couldn't have been more pleased with our accommodations. Theresa was a great hostess who welcomed us warmly and was always there if needed. I loved waking to the smell of coffee that I didn't have to prepare. This immaculately restored treasure of a home... More

Spent two nites here with eleven good friends. This was one of the best trips we've ever had! Food, atmosphere, and overall experience was the greatest. Theresa is a real gem. Shared all the fun we had with friends when we got home. Joan S.

If you want to experience authentic Southern elegance and hospitality this is the place. The house and grounds are beautiful. The restoration done to the original building is top notch. The location (at the end of a dead end street and next to the American Cemetery) makes for a very relaxing atmosphere. We were twelve women one night and ten... More
