My family was traveling through to and from Texas and stayed in Monroe to break up the driving. We stayed here both on the way and on the way home. The staff here is very friendly and they have one of the best "free" breakfasts of any chain. We stayed in a two bedroom suite where we had plenty of... More

I felt that this room was ideal for a couple or small family. I was by myself on business and didn't really use the kitchen. I thought it was a bit pricey, but everything in Monroe is overpriced. I've also stayed at the Marriott across the parking lot (Courtyard). I find this place to be more quiet. However, I tend... More

I'm here at the Residence Inn Monroe as I type. This is my first stay at a Residence Inn, and although I'm Elite Member, I mostly stay at other properties. Check in was easy, I was paying with points, and noticed the letter on the desk stating that they place an automatic 100.00 hold for the stay. That seems a... More

The Marriott once again lived up to it's name & reputation. Our room was as described. Very comfortable & clean. The full size fridge is a plus though we didn't need one that large. The staff was very friendly & went out of their way to be accommodating. The full breakfast was amazing and the "Breakfast Lady" was so willing... More

Traveling through Monroe on way to Gulf Shores and needed a place convenient to the highway for me, my wife, and our two young children. The location was very close to the highway. Never heard the train once during our stay. We stayed in a king studio which was very roomy. The breakfast the next day was a nice way... More

Stayed briefly for business - was traveling with a colleague and it was nice to have individual bedrooms/bathrooms. There was also a gas fireplace in the main room that was nice since it was very cold the night we were there. The included breakfast was good and they had a wide selection of standard breakfast items (cereal, fruit, yogurt, waffle-maker,... More

Stopped for one night on the way to Texas. Very friendly staff. The room was huge and nicely furnished. Very good breakfast buffet with helpful service. Excellent value for the money!

This hotel is amazing. Regarding the "location," it helps that in Monroe, pretty much everything is 5 minutes away, but it's conveniently located off the 20. I had no issues with the cleanliness, and while Residence Inns can be a bit more pricey, I do think you get what you pay for...it helped that I stayed on the top (3rd)... More

Nice, spacious, clean hotel with free wi-fi internet access. Nice pool/rec area. Housekeeping is thourough and friendly. Staff is courteous. A railroad does run across the street; however, it never did bother us. The "free breakfast" was not well stocked. On two different days there was no coffee (regular or decaf). Lots of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. With... More
