I travel to Monroe twice a year on business. This is the first time I have actually been pleased with the trip I've had. In times past I have stayed at the Quality Inn in West Monroe (not good) and at the Clarion Hotel & Conference Center. (terrible). This property is superb, I was drawn to it because they are... More

On Tuesday, Nov. 21, my daughter and I were too tired to try to make it to Dallas, so checked for a hotel in Monroe. Residence Inn was perfect for us. The staff welcomed us like long lost friends, had a delicious evening "snack" (fajita chicken, nacho chips, salad, all the trimmings, and a most delicious roll). This was followed... More

Loved the location - right behind the mall with several restaruants to choose from! My room was spacious and comfortable. I appreciate the fact that I had enough towels to last 4 days and didn't require any maid service...that's one thing I DON'T do at hotels...I wait until I leave for them to come in - too risky these days.... This is a nice property. My room was spacious with a small dining table and sitting area. The bed and pillows weren't as good as what I am used to at the Marriott properties. However, the first thing I noticed when I walked into the bathroom was someone else's long dark hairs on the light colored tiled floor. I could... More

My family was traveling through to and from Texas and stayed in Monroe to break up the driving. We stayed here both on the way and on the way home. The staff here is very friendly and they have one of the best "free" breakfasts of any chain. We stayed in a two bedroom suite where we had plenty of... More

I felt that this room was ideal for a couple or small family. I was by myself on business and didn't really use the kitchen. I thought it was a bit pricey, but everything in Monroe is overpriced. I've also stayed at the Marriott across the parking lot (Courtyard). I find this place to be more quiet. However, I tend... More

I'm here at the Residence Inn Monroe as I type. This is my first stay at a Residence Inn, and although I'm Elite Member, I mostly stay at other properties. Check in was easy, I was paying with points, and noticed the letter on the desk stating that they place an automatic 100.00 hold for the stay. That seems a... More

The Marriott once again lived up to it's name & reputation. Our room was as described. Very comfortable & clean. The full size fridge is a plus though we didn't need one that large. The staff was very friendly & went out of their way to be accommodating. The full breakfast was amazing and the "Breakfast Lady" was so willing... More

Traveling through Monroe on way to Gulf Shores and needed a place convenient to the highway for me, my wife, and our two young children. The location was very close to the highway. Never heard the train once during our stay. We stayed in a king studio which was very roomy. The breakfast the next day was a nice way... More
