We travel to new Orleans several times a year for plays and shopping and enjoying the city!!! Sometimes we are just ladies shopping and dining out for a special occasion. This is our favorite place to stay. The location is convenient to get to any where in the city. We do not like to stay in the French Quarter unless... more

This is a nice hotel for a business meeting but the location could be alot better. There is not really too much to do in this area. It is located in a business office building but the hotel rooms take up levels 9-16. The hotel rooms are nice and this is located near Lake Pontchartrain w/ the 24 mile Bridge.... more

I loved the hotel, very clean and the beds are sooo comfortable, my neices loved it. We stayed there during the Jonas brothers concert in an executive suite. That was my second stay there. I love going there because it's smoke free but because there are not many resturants close there should be refridgerators in every room in case you... more

I like to use the stairs when I can for exercise. Unfortuneatley, the entrance to the garage stairwell by the entrance to the hotel (which is in a 30+ floor business building) is absolutely filthy!!!!! It is glass incased, as if it's expected to be used, but it looks like the homeless live there. Also, it is a challenge to... more

So many Marriotts have lost their luster but this one shines. Excellent rooms, good service, well managed. This is one of the better ones more

First I would like to say...the hotel is nice. Decorated great and alot of amenities, but it stops there. The people are the rudest and my room was dirty!!! I even seen the General Manager (atleast that is what his name tag said) and he didn't speak. This place was not worth the money I paid. more

We liked this hotel alot! It's very nice and close to the major freeway that runs into downtown New Orleans. It was about 10 minutes from the airport on the way to Downtown. The service was responsive and the rooms are very nice. It's a Marriott, so it's always top quality. It wasn't very expensive either. We went there for... more

We booked the Marriott Lakeway for the Sugar Bowl. It was away from the action, but just a cab ride away and the savings made it worthwhile to stay there. The cab averages about $22 to the French Quarter, a little less to the Superdome (based on our experience). There is really little of interest within close walking distance of... more

I'll start off by saying that if you are looking for a place to stay to party in New Orleans, this is not your hotel. It is a good 20 minutes outside the city and will cost you an arm and a leg to take a cab. If you are looking for a nice business hotel in Metairie (or outside... more

We stayed at this hotel for two nights in mid May and enjoyed this hotel. It is right on the lake, at the end of the causeway. It was a nice Marriott, with clean furnishings and a great bed. My wife loves the linens they use. When I booked it said it could not promise a king-size bed, but I... more
