Wouldn't stay here otherwise. Hallways and rooms on 2nd and 3rd floor absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke. Staff was helpful, property is in a good (though congested) location and they did have a decent continental breakfast. Hotel is definitely a bit worn. more

Lake Charles has never been considered a mecca for travelers but of the hotels in town the Sleep Inn has moved to the # 1 spot. It's convenient to the freeway, shopping and restaurants. The iron in our room was broken, always on high. We found out the hard way. Burned a brand new suit. They told us there were not responsible for a defective iron and only offered us $10.00 off if we want to stay there again. more

The only problem with this place was that the desk staff didn't seem to go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. They weren't rude, but not nice either. We ran into the maid as she was about to clean our room and she was very nice. The room was clean and the fridge and microwave worked perfectly.... more
