We spent the Memorial Day weekend at the hotel while it was going through a major renovation involving a lot of dust. Two of the three rooms we checked had stains on either the armchair or the ottoman. The third room had visible remains of blue soap in the bathtub soap holder and a stray toothpick on the room floor.... more
We stayed here for a brief overnight on our way to New Orleans. It was OK for our purpose, but I would try to find someplace else before I would stay again. The internet access did not work in the rooms. The breakfast was adequate, but the space is very small. Try to get a AAA discount to make this... more
HORRIBLE experience! If Nicole is your clerk, run very far away! She sits there and chats with her friends all night and if your skin is not sufficiently dark, she will blow you off and offer zero help to you. She is extremely nice and helpful for people of like ethnicity, but very rude and unhelpful to those of different... more
Stayed one night at the Fairfield Lafayette. It was the weekend of the Sunbelt Conference Basketball Tournment and most hotels were booked before I had made a late decision to come. Lucky me. This inn is very clean and the ront desk staff very cordial. The value is tremendous. Free internet access. Would stay here again. Not a luxury hotel,... more
My husband and I stayed here for one night for a graduation as well did my mother. We requested non smoking rooms and both smelled disgusting of smoke and just old mildew. Our room the air conditioner was not cooling the room down at all. We reported the problem before we left for the evening and when we returned back... more
We spent one night in this hotel on our way back from a round trip from Pensacola FL to Las Vegas NV. The first room had a musty smell and we had to be moved to another room. Both rooms had dehumidifiers going. This hotel is 12 years old and in bad need of renovation. The carpets and sofas were... more
We stayed one night at the Fairfield Inn on our way to Florida. This motel needs some work. The room had a dehumidifier going, although the room still felt very damp and smelled musty. The bathroom door would not close, and there was a blood stain on the sheet on one of the beds. The pool was very cloudy, and... more
We had put in a request for a rollaway bed, and it took three hours to get it in the room. We were just staying for the night and needed to get some sleep for the road trip the following day. Was not interested in hearing the excuses, just wanted to have my family be able to sleep comfortably. The... more
I stayed in this hotel during Hurricane Rita and I consider myself blessed for it. The staff is not only taking care of hurricane Katrina refugees, but has gone out of its way to care for those of us stranded by the second storm. Even when the power went out, and the storm bands made their way through here, they... more
