Our 4th of July trip was fine but as soon as we walked in it was very noticeable that the carpet needed a good vacuuming. The chairs and the tables in the lobby area were worn and chipped respectively. The carpet in the elevator had a rim of dust and trash all around the edge. On a more positive note... more

Saw the reviews from trip advisor.. and also had some coupons so tried it out. Great place.. really clean, lovely big rooms and big bathroom, good breakfast, free beer/wine at night (!!) with snacks - its true when they advertise that 'extras arent extra'...would be pleased to stay in this hotel again and again.. more

We were in Lafayette for a convention/rally, and opted to stay somewhere else other than the conferencing hotel. The Pear Tree worked out fine for us - we were well pleased with the room (clean, large enough, comfortable); and the staff we encountered were just as friendly and helpful as could be. We are on a cross country road trip from Florida to California. Just happened on this motel passing thru Lafayette and was very impressed. Great service, well cleaned room, compfortable bed, and nice bedding. Extras were provided with both a managers reception and well spread hot breakfast. We stayed here for a short weekend trip. When we first arrived, we were warmly greeted by the clerk. I asked if it were possible for us to have an early check-in, which she graciously allowed. Our tour group of 20 people stayed here for 4 nights. Nobody had any complaints about the cleanliness of the rooms, service, breakfast items or location. The beds were very comfortable and the hotel staff was very responsive to any needs. more

This was a convenient hotel that was clean and in good shape. Decor and facilities were pretty standard. My only complaint is that the rooms were inadequately soundproofed; you could hear pretty much everything going on in adjacent rooms and in the hallway. more
