I would definitely recommend t'Frere's - the owners are incredibly welcoming and you get a genuinely local flavour. We really enjoyed the tea juleps and crab croustardes in the early evening and it was great to get so many local recommendations. The "Ooh La La breakfasts" are incredibly filling and really memorable. Our room was upstairs in the main house... More

Had great expectations due to reputation of everything being "great"; especially the gourmet breakfast. Well, the house is very charming and clean; lots of antiques to look at and met nice guests the one night I stayed there. Took turns looking in each others rooms. Our room was upstairs; decorated very cozy, but the bathroom was horrible. No, "horrible" doesn't... More

Very enjoyable time here. Building and Garconiere very well done. Breakfast outstanding. Very, very friendly inn-keepers. Ok location. With GPS easy to find. Don't visit Lafayette on a Monday as most things closed. Would definitely return.

In many ways, a typical, old style B and B, decorated in period, comfortable, but not fancy. What sets it apart is the cajun hospitality, freindliness of entire staff. You feel very welcome. The owners and staff are quick to help inform about the area, food choices, history, or anything else you need. Customer refrigerator always stocked with wine, beer,... More

We have stayed at numerous B&Bs throughout the country and feel well qualified to urge you to disregard the very few negative reviews of T'Frere's. Those folks missed the point. T'Frere's is a Cajun country gem and a totally unique experience, unlike any other B&Bs we've also enjoyed. Our two nights in late April were a highlight of our week... More

T'Frere's B&B is a perfect home base from which to experience cajun country. Pat, Maugie and their son, John, are "the real deal" - Mom, Pop, and youngest son of a big-hearted (and big!) cajun family. We felt genuinely welcomed by Pat and Maugie and enjoyed our stay in the comfortable Mary room. Every morning we heard Maugie's call of... More

An idiosyncratic b&b. We stayed in the separate building off the main house, which we enjoyed. The breakfasts were very odd by English standards - the final morning included pancakes with pudding fillings! The hosts are very welcoming and helpful - we found Champagne's swamp tour through them, which was simply brilliant. Only thing we found was that it was... More

Great location, beautiful house, comfortable rooms, and a stellar breakfast every morning. The story is that the first person to be served breakfast said "Ooh la la!" and the name remains the same every morning. You will start your day with fresh fruit, eggs in a quiche or another interesting way, perhaps a fried tomato, baked sweet potato slice with... More

My best friend and our girls stayed at T'Freres because all the hotels were booked. I love B&B's and from now on, most likely that is where I will choose to stay when out of town. Its home away from home. The ghost of Amelia will be talked about for the rest of our days. Had a great time with... More
