We are Mum, Dad and two girls 6 & 8 and we stayed for 3 nights and all loved it here. The rooms are so comfortable, beautifully furnished and full of things to make life easy. Lisa provides the most wonderful breakfast and we especially appreciated the tea and cake on arrival. The girls loved seeing the animals on the... More

This was our second stay, and we were once again bowled over by the warm welcome and superb accommodation. Lisa is an excellent host, extremely welcoming and fantastic cook! The rooms are excellently appointed, and free wifi means even the kids can stay in touch with friends on Facebook. Breakfast is fantastic, all cooked fresh to order, with the best... More

Once again another fantastic stay at the Manor ;-). Spring is in the air and the ewes with their bouncing lambs were out and about. We stayed in the downstairs room which has had a slight refurb since last we stayed including a small fridge - very handy. Would highly recommend Lisa's style, accommodation and cooking and looking forward to... More

A beautiful setting. Rooms where no detail has been overlooked. A relaxed, friendly family oriented B&B. Breakfast with produce either homemade or locally sourced and not to mention, delicious. My brother and family stayed too. My nephews particularly enjoying seeing the the animals and helping Lisa get the chickens out in the morning. I would happily recommend Pickersgill and would... We stayed here for 2 nights over the Bank Holiday weekend with our 4 year old son. My brother & family have stayed here before so we knew what to expect, but everything exceeded our expectations. We had the adjoining rooms which were spotlessly clean, & furnished to a very high standard. The toiletries are Neal's Yard & White Company.... More

Thank you Clare for your lovely review. Making sure families are comfortable and relaxed is number 1 for us. We have had some great stays with our family in the past and have used what we have learned to make sure guests have a great stay. Thanks for your comments on breakfast, I love my kitchen. We are a family of four with two 6 years old kids. We stayed here on 2 July for one night after visiting National Railway Musuem in York. This is a thoroughly lovely B&B with comfortable bed. Lisa and her family were incredibly welcoming and helpful. She showed us around her farm and even offered my son a big set... More

A lovely location, with a wonderful host. What a joy it was to find this bed & breakfast with stunning views over the Yorkshire hills. Lisa and her family made our stay so comfortable and with a wonderful welcome it was a wrench to come home. The bedroom was comfortable and the breakfast so fresh and tasty. We'll worth a... More

Not really much to add to what others have said here - great value - large room with super ensuite and very large & comfortable bed, wonderful hospitality with lovely food, friendly and very helpful hosts. Only suggestion is heavier curtains would be good for those of us who like a dark bedroom but that's all I can think of!
