They told me they had Direct TV and WiFi. We wanted to watch the Saints vs. Patriots pre-game. They had DIrect TV for a few minutes that showed the game and then off until check out the next day. No answer to phone calls and the office door was closed. And then to get WIFI you have to stand outside... More

I've read some negative reviews of this place. It makes me wonder if the folks writing reviews have stayed anywhere else on this island. I've stayed at four different places on this island. Cajun Tide is right on the beach. The woman who runs the place is friendly and helpful. The rooms (well, many of them are more similar to... More

The place looks like it has not been painted since it was built. The rooms were very dusty and the dishes were not clean. The a/c and toilet were both working very poorly. The owner was called and he poured dishwashing liquid in the toilet. That didn't work - hello!!!! The rooms are very tiny. There are virtually no pots... More

After other plans fell through in another state we booked here. I should have realized then why there was still space available so close to Memorial Day weekend. The few pluses is that there is free wifi, it is on the beach and proximity to restaurants especially Yums Restaurant which is a hidden gem.

This was a last minute cabin stay August 31 2014 night in Grand Isle. There was not much left out there to pick from but the website pictures looked nice. They charged us $203 w/tax for a MOTEL room just for that night. 1. The entrance to the office had the makings of a horror movie. Neon blubs flickering in... More

I have always enjoyed beaches in the off season, it is our favorite family time. Cajun Tide was very accommodating to us. It was clean, warm, comfortable and the location PERFECT. I don't expect fancy or luxury, just want good accommodations. Cajun Tide was great, the beds were VERY comfortable and everything was clean and in good working order. You... More

We stayed at this "resort" (cough, cough) on two different occasions and were moderately impressed by the arrangements... the room was decent enough, and the beach is right nearby - which is good, because you might not want to stay on these "hotel" grounds very much. I imagine if you are a party animal, you won't mind the fact that... More

I rate it at Very Good but remember that it is relative to where you are located, so for Grand Isle standards, it is Very Good. Mark and Sharron are the owner/operators and they are the nicest people, always helpful and very friendly. The rooms are clean and functional. I recommend staying in Room #1, it is a two bedroom... Grand Isle is all about fishing, crabbing, cheap shrimp, and cleaning/cooking/packaging your seafood. It is NOT about luxury condos. When i want luxury, I head toward Destin. That said, the Cajun Tide is an excellent Grand Isle motel choice. We stayed in room #1 and were quite satisfied. The room was clean, beds comfy, cookware sufficient, and A/C cold. The... More

the room was not amazing, no doubt. there was a water stain on the wall, the bed was older and not very comfortable. however, it was $50/night, there was direct tv, the internet connection was great (i streamed netflix), the water pressure was good in the shower. it's located on the gulf side so you can walk over the levee...
