This was a last minute cabin stay August 31 2014 night in Grand Isle. There was not much left out there to pick from but the website pictures looked nice. They charged us $203 w/tax for a MOTEL room just for that night. 1. The entrance to the office had the makings of a horror movie. Neon blubs flickering in... More

I have always enjoyed beaches in the off season, it is our favorite family time. Cajun Tide was very accommodating to us. It was clean, warm, comfortable and the location PERFECT. I don't expect fancy or luxury, just want good accommodations. Cajun Tide was great, the beds were VERY comfortable and everything was clean and in good working order. You... More

We stayed at this "resort" (cough, cough) on two different occasions and were moderately impressed by the arrangements... the room was decent enough, and the beach is right nearby - which is good, because you might not want to stay on these "hotel" grounds very much. I imagine if you are a party animal, you won't mind the fact that... More

I rate it at Very Good but remember that it is relative to where you are located, so for Grand Isle standards, it is Very Good. Mark and Sharron are the owner/operators and they are the nicest people, always helpful and very friendly. The rooms are clean and functional. I recommend staying in Room #1, it is a two bedroom... Grand Isle is all about fishing, crabbing, cheap shrimp, and cleaning/cooking/packaging your seafood. It is NOT about luxury condos. When i want luxury, I head toward Destin. That said, the Cajun Tide is an excellent Grand Isle motel choice. We stayed in room #1 and were quite satisfied. The room was clean, beds comfy, cookware sufficient, and A/C cold. The... More

the room was not amazing, no doubt. there was a water stain on the wall, the bed was older and not very comfortable. however, it was $50/night, there was direct tv, the internet connection was great (i streamed netflix), the water pressure was good in the shower. it's located on the gulf side so you can walk over the levee... My husband & I stayed last weekend & it was a FILTHY MESS! It smelled like sweaty socks & the floors were so filthy we had to step out of the FILTHY shower into or flip flops with out touching the floor because it was that bad. The owners or management across the way were drunk & loud at night...NOT... More

The place is fine, not very good at all in fact, but as good as you'll find in Grand Isle. Here are a couple of problems: 1. The shower head was broken, and the attempted repair relied heavily on electrical tape. Which obviously didn't work. 2. The Internet is intermittent at best. 3. The place we stayed in was the... We stayed there during the off season and found the room to be one of the cleanest on the island . The owners were friendly and helpful .The hotel is centrally located on the island across the road from the main restraunt in town . We will check ther first on our next visit .

Being from Grand Isle, I was skeptical about renting a place to stay. I highly recommend the Cajun Tide. The room was SPOTLESS. The owners were very helpful. I was in town during the "off season" but the rates even during peak season are extremely reasonable. I hope to return with my kids this summer.
