Our family just hosted two family reunions at the Best Western Forest Hotel in Franklin. The accomodations were wonderful. The swimming pool was crystal clear and the staff could not have been more accomodating. Our family enjoyed touring Oaklawn Manor, home of former Louisiana Governor and Mrs. M.J. Foster. I stayed at this so-called motel. The prices are outrageous for the area. There is nothing to do there and there is only that one motel, besides this other rat motel down the street. The best part is the restaurant, which is still a litte crowded. If you want to swim, you may as well go to the bayou. The... more
