Pulling up, the outside looks a little sketchy and there's virtually nothing around. There is a café attached to the motel but I don't recommend it as the omelette I had was burned and the waitress treated me like an "outsider" since I wasn't from there. Biggest thing to know is that there is NO ELEVATOR. Fortunately, I'd packed lighter... More

This was the only place we could find one weekend prior to St. Patrick's Day, I mean, other than the $750 a night rooms. It's out in the bayous, next to a marina and shrimp boats, so it felt sort of at the edge of the world, but it was comfortable and clean and had organic bathroom soaps!! Nice staff,... More

My wife and I stayed at the Marina Motel for New Years visit to New Orleans. We were extremely happy with our stay. Our room was clean and very comfortable. Our room was comfortable and it looked as though it had new furniture. Having a café and casino on the property made our stay very relaxing. The front desk staff... More

Possibly the most average place I've stayed in a long time and I mean that as neither a compliment or a criticism. It was clean and the staff was courteous. Those are the high points. The rooms were ok looking... kinda small with no frills. It had a pool, which was just ok... small and without anything to make the... More

We were in town to catch a cruise. Which was also 4th of July weekend and Essence Festival so this hotel was our only affordable option. Hotel sat on a bayou where other families brought their boats and were able to cook the catch of the day on the patio/pool area. The pool itself was small but the kids were... More

I booked my room via Orbitz. We came for Essence Festival. Room was clean. Staff was courteous. Diner attached was great, food and cooks. The only complaint was the lack of irons. People checked them out and never brought them back, so some of us were unable to iron our clothes. The drive into town was really easy and there... More

Stayed for my sons baseball tournament and had a great stay. Although a little older motel it was very clean and cozy. Would recommend to everyone in search of a good and safe experience!! We would stay here again.

This is a typical wayside hotel that makes a shabby impression and we even wondered if the sheets were clean. The cafeteria smelled so badly of old frying grease that we decided to skip dinner and breakfast.

Came down for essence festival last year...it was a last minute try to find some hotels reasonable and most were booked up so we gave this one a shot. Must say it was out by swamp water and seemed to be away from everything but it really wasn't that bad of a drive into downtown New Orleans because we could... More
