We stayed at Saltgrass Lodge for a short fishing trip in Oct.....and we had a large comfortable room and found the Lodge spacious with the views of the river!!! The chef, prepared and served our breakfasts, lunches and dinners which we enjoyed and were delicious! The fishing was excellent! Our guide, Ike, was passionate about getting us on to fish... More

We loved it, the food and guides were top notch. Once there, no need to go anywhere, they have a wonderful set up. The Chef put out some amazing meals. The Guide service was a terrific experience, they worked hard to get us on fish.

This was my 2nd time to stay at the Saltgrass and it just keeps getting better and better. Accommodations are always first rate. Came in the early afternoon and Bernie (Chef) had red beans and rice or gumbo for anyone hungry. His breakfast, lunch, and dinners are great. The Saltgrass also provides guides for fishing and hunting. First day I... More

Captain Ike is the best in guides. He knows where the fish are located. It is the BEST for fishing inland (red and black drum, trout, etc.); the reds are well worth the trip. As for the lodge, the personnel are very friendly and courteous. It is setup like a glorified "camp" which works very well. The rooms are large... More

Hotel accommodation's are excellent. Fishing could have been better, but that's why they call it "fishing" and not "catching". If you go fishing ask for CHIEF. He is the best Captain I've ever had, and I've been on lots of chartered fishing trips. The only negative I have to say is that if you're going to charge customers $25 each... More

This beautiful lodge provides excellent lodging, fantastic food, and friendly service. My son, his friend, their sons, and I enjoyed inshore fishing, offshore fishing and waterfowl hunting with excellent guides with very well-maintained equipment. Raymond is a terrific organizer and gracious host. I am so happy to recommend him and his staff.

This is a great experience to have if you want the true hospitality of an upscale fishing lodge in La. It is a large home that has been redone since hurricane Katrina. There is really nothing around once you get about 20 min south of New Orleans. The home sits right at the base of the levee of the Ms.... More

We had originally planned to only stay one night, but we loved the whole experience so much we stayed another night! The lodge itself is lovely and the accommodations wonderful. Our first night we stayed in the room with the large bath tub and open... More

We had six of us in for a great Fathers Day weekend. Ike and Raymond do an excellent job taking care of everything. The food was excellent and prepared by a colorful chef. Great place for a family to go fishing for a few days

My wife and I stayed here for two days and could have stayed a month. We were the only guests there at the time and had the opportunity to look at all the rooms before choosing the Mint Julep room which was wonderful. Two comfy queen beds and a door right out to the second floor balcony where we spent... More
