This hotel has a nice lobby area, very nice people who are helpful and friendly. It was great for our large group. Rooms are large and clean, a bit on the utilitarian side but really you have all you need. The only thing I did not like is that it sits right next to the highway, so all rooms seem... More

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I am pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay here. I know we are near the interstate, which can be a rather boring view, but if you happen to get the even side of our hotel you can see our State Capital, LSU's beautiful campus, as well as the famous Mississippi... I have stayed at this Marriott many times because of the good corporate rate. It is dated for sure, in desperate need of a facelift or renovation, but the service is really good and the people are exceptionally friendly that work there. The room service quality is marginal and the internet service is sub-standard at peak times (5-10PM). Give it... More

This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at . They have no ceiling fans. And they have the AC fixed so it will only go to one temperature. Needless to say it was hot in that room. The carpets are filthy. The food is not good BUT .. Extremely expensive. I ordered a Cobb salad and two small fruit... More

I am usually a very loyal member of Marriott, have been a Platinum Premier member for many years as a business traveler. Because of my expectations with full service Marriotts, I was very disappointed with our recent stay. The price was too good to be true, so that should have tipped me off. We arrived to no bellman or valet... More

The service throughout this property is outstanding. While a renovation will be needed soon, the service is so good you overlook the dated furnishing and subtle tarnish. Highway noise is pronounced in any room on the Freeway end of the hotel, regardless of the floor. Light sleepers take notice. The Fitness room needs some typical amenities. But I will stay... More

After leaving another Marriott due to poor maintenance of the hotel me and my Husband decided to choose to stay here. Upon check in Kayla (I believe this was her name) made our stay there perfect!!! She was so helpful and greeted us with a smile! I had told her we were there from South Texas for my birthday and... More

Stayed here on-off for close to 2 months...it was great. Try and stay on the even side since the view of the capital and LSU stadium is very nice at night. Concierge lounge is nice and the bar area and waitstaff do a nice job. Would definitely stay here again.

It was been a while since I stayed at the Marriott. It is clean, staff is great, close to I-10 and LSU. You can find any type of food close to the hotel. Thanks for making my business trip a little bit better!

When I checked in I asked for a quiet room. Instead of acknowledging the highway noise problem the check-in staff said they were putting me in a quiet area because it was a high floor and offered none of the "fixes" that staff offered after my 1st noisy night: ear plugs and a window fan (to act as "white noise").... The Marriott is convenienty located at exit College Drive of the i10. For those who like it, Hooters is within walking distance. Many good restaurants as the Bonefish, Flemings, Ruth Chris and the Mall of Louisiana are close by. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bed is good and the airco/heating works properly. The bath room is a bit... More
