I stayed 4 nights at this lovely B&B and loved it. Janice, the owner, serves you hot breakfast, whatever you desire and even has time to chat with you. Rooms are very nice decorated and clean. The house is surrounded with a big garden which lets you feel you aren't in a big city. more

Visiting my son at LSU, we often travel to and lodge in Baton Rouge. I do despise hotel rooms, and was very pleased to find this B&B within a few minutes of my son's residence. The hostess was somewhat pleasant, but the room was very nice. Warm decor. Beautiful paintings. Very convenient location. Breakfast was very good, and the conversation... more

We were visiting for a family emergency. It was the one part of the trip that didn't involve stress. We could relax after a long day and have a wonderful breakfast before the next one started. The owner was full of useful information that we needed and was never too busy to help. The restaurant across the street was amazing... more

You MUST stay at The Stockade! You are engulfed in peace and tranquility, while the "city" bustles around you. The birds, and small creatures of the bluff provide a symphony of nature. The breakfast was delicious and I even had friends over for cocktails on the patio. I slept like a baby in "The Blue Room" with my blinds open... more

This was stunning from the large well appointed Southern rooms with private baths, to the serene tree canopied patio overlooking the wildlife habitat. The majestic two story windowed living room with antiques and artwork added to the ambiance. We had booked the entire place for a weekend family reunion and loved it. From the gourmet hot breakfasts to the wine,... more

My wife and I stayed here when we were visiting LA for the African-American Hertitage Trail. We only stayed one night and wished we had the flexibility to stay longer. Pros: Premises - The house and property are very nice and well-kept. The room we stayed in had a balcony, huge bathroom and closet and a mini-fridge. Also, the keep... more

What a great home to share with us. Nice antique furnishings, comfortable seating throughout the house. The bed was like being at home. Very nice appointments in the bath. Breakfasts and hors d'oeuvres very good. Nice wines provided with our package. A very romantic stay. I have to say the soft lights were nice but at times we found it... more

Drive up the sweeping curved drive and into Classic Old Southern Louisiana-style elegance and hospitality. My family has had 3 extended stays over the past year and a half. Every room we stay in is our favorite. Every breakfast has been generous and delicious. The owner, Janice DeLerno, is gracious Southern charm and know-how, and your personal hostess. If you... more

The Stockade Jan. 28, 2009 The Stockade is a beautiful Bed & Breakfast located in Baton Rouge, LA. My wife and I have only stayed in a B&B a few times in our travels and this one is absolutely the best. We traveled with another couple who had previously stayed at the Stockade and loved it. I would consider myself a true road warrior and also am in the hospitality industry so, my expectations are very high. Without a doubt this is one of the most hospitable places I have ever stayed. I recently got married and my husband and I just wanted a little private alone time. This place was perfection. The ambience was very... more
