I search endlessly when trying to find a place to stay. I was not disappointed with this selection. The hotel was spotless - the staff more than willing to help - the breakfast top notch - and the rooms were very roomy. There is a sitting area separated from the sleeping area by a half partition. The microwave, fridge and... more

We were a large bus group of young bowlers and their parents. We arrived earlier than expected and the staff welcomed us with great customer service. A few rooms were not ready, but we did arrive earlier than check in time. The staff gave great communication on the update of rooms. Invited us to eat breakfast which was very good!... more

This was the first time I have stayed in a Springhill Suites by Marriott. I would say this is the Motel 6 of suite hotels, very basic. We had a king room with a sleeper sofa. When the sofa bed was opened, you literally had to climb over it to get into the other part of the room. I would... more

Stayed here for a football game, so the rate was too high but that's how it goes. This is a newish, solid, stock Springhill. Clean, comfortable. Internet and everything was fine. The free breakfast was a little disappointing, but not bad. Did not have any service issues. Did not notice many restaurants in the area, but did not look. Overall... more

While in Baton Rouge on business I was staying in a much nicer and newer hotel before my reservation ran out and I had to move. (Special Thanks goes out to my marketing department....not.) There's minor freeway noise, along with my neighbors who insist on slamming their doors. The interior is clean, but the decor is dated by style even... more

We stayed in the Springhill Suites for 3 nights during Thanksgiving. I booked the room thru the Marriott's website. I got a rate of $89 a night. The room had 2 queen beds. No problem with check-in. The room was clean and inviting. The room has 2 televisions and 2 telephones, a microwave, sink and refrigerator. There is a hairdryer and... more

My friends and I stayed at this hotel for one night while in the area for a concert. The hotel staff was very nice, the room was clean and the location was supreme! It was very easy to hop on and off the I-10 expressway to get to our downtown concert and get back to the New Orleans airport. The... more

We had a wedding in Baton Rouge to attend and decided to try the Springhill Suites off of Essen Lane. This hotel was great for our needs. It had easy access off of I-10 and had a Copeland's restaurant just down the street about a block or two. We showed our Springhill Suites key card and got a free appetizer... more

Newish hotel, post-Katrina, well maintained. Thin walls and especially thin ceilings--we could hear every foot step from the people above us...and it sounded like each person weighed 300 lbs. Plus, our room (223) was over the pool area and the pool is open until 11 pm, so we got to hear all the pool noise. Oh, and room 223 is... more
