We were given a handicapped suite. Large rooms, huge bathroom, all wheel chair accessible. The bar had a good variety of beer and wine. And the outdoor courtyard and pool was a perfect spot for an late afternoon cocktail. Located near a mall and many restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

This suburban Baton Rouge hotel is within a short walking distance of a major shopping mall and many decent restaurants. However, you can't walk to any of them because Baton Rouge lacks sidewalks and crosswalks! This may seem inconsequential to a traveler with a car---but as a business traveler without, I felt a prisoner who could only stare longingly across... More

New and very appealing lobby and common areas; but we were let down on our reservation and treatment at check-in. Stayed here with my daughters for an LSU game - most people in the hotel seemed to be doing the same. Upon check in I was informed there were no rooms with 2 queens / twins as I had booked... More

Nice hotel. Clean and pretty. Nice room. Not very large or luxurious. Nice beds. Nice bedding. No USB charging stations available, like some modern hotels have these days. No fridge. No FREE WiFi (its $10/day). $4 bottle of warm water on the counter. Why are "nicer" hotels always nickel & diming guests? Bathroom door creaks loudly. Bathroom itself looks small... More

Built in the abandoned Swaggart Dormintory it is a beautiful hotel. Rooms are well appointed. Staff are some of the best that I have come across in my travels. Valet staff is so friendly you will wind up have a conversation with them before you leave. Added bonus is the food. Restaurant serves very good food and has a great... More

Renaissance Baton Rouge is a relative new hotel. It looks very nice and it is very well decorated. Staff is very helpful and we had a great room. Beds were absolutely perfect and the room had all the amenities we needed. The location of the hotel is quite good. The Louisiana Mall was opposite the street and most destinations in... More

This was by far the best hotel I've stayed too. The booking was great, the receptionist was great and even with the mix up of the suite. She automatically fixed everything without having to be told.. She even added a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries to our to room, free from the hotel. Breakfast was fresh and made... More

We like this hotel and the decor. The staff is always pleasant. This particular weekend that we stayed was also the weekend that LSU had a game so I understand that the hotel was busy and maybe booked to capacity. The only negative that I have experienced is that there is no where to reheat food if needed. The girl... More

I travel to Baton Rouge for business several times a year, and have stayed at most of the hotels near I-10. This hotel is by far the best, and at a good price. Check-in was quick, efficient and professional. The room is clean, spacious, with an excellent mattress -- firm with a deep pillow top; I actually didn't miss my... More

I needed a quick reservation for a one night stay and was pleasantly surprised that I was able to secure a room including buffet breakfast for my entire family of two adults and two children.
