The mattresses are worn out. I've never slept on such a bad mattress. It is ridiculous that they don't replace their mattresses. They should lose their Super 8 franchise. more

We stayed at Super 8 while we were in Whitesburg, KY this fall while visting relatives in KY. My family found this hotel very comfortable and the staff was very friendly. We absolutely loved this hotel! I was 7mo. pregnant and all cramped up from many miles of riding/driving, and we had arrived around 9-10 pm. After reading one of the other reviews of this site, I was apprehensive of staying at this hotel. I actually made reservations elsewhere, then checked out the hotel after I arrived in Whitesburg. We originally had two rooms reserved and cancelled one the day before arrival. Upon arrival they still had the second room reserved. You must fill out a registration card every time you check into this hotel even though they have your information from the reservation. The room was dirty, carpets on the floor were filthy. I love Whitesburg. Motel 8 is a great place to stay. My husband was in Letcher Manor Nursing home for almost five months before he passed away. Everyone I met in Whitesburg were super nice.
