with the neon sign and the country feel of all the beautiful flowers it feels like you stepped back into the 1950s when you drive on the lot but the rooms are modern and comfortable soft wonderful bed nice hot showers. WiFi, cable, mini fridge. Wonderful Aviance with modern conveniences owner is down home and friendly.

Granted, the choices for lodging in Stanford are limited (Sunset is the only motel / hotel in town). Still, it's easy enough to drive 10-12 miles toward Danville and get into a major chain hotel. But my recent stay at the Sunset was surprisingly good. This is old-style motel, but the rooms have been remodeled, and everything is clean and... More

The motel has a very old time feel. It's neon light glowing is a welcoming sight. I am naturally drawn to all things vintage, and this motel has its appeal. It's remodel is nicely done with not modern furniture, but gently restored pieces of old, circa 1960s! Love the room! I do have to comment negatively that the hotel owners... More

By today standards, most travelers pass up small hotel/motel's like this one. Traveler's are looking for a brand name facility with all the amenities available for a fair price. I am here to tell you that if you are in the area of Stanford Kentucky and need a place to stay, and you pass this facility up for one of... More

Spend a night flashing back to an earlier era of road tripping, and book yourself a room at the sunset motor lodge. Yeah, it sure is a tiny room, but you can really tell the owners care. They pack a lot of stuff into the small space (fridge, microwave, big old box TV etc…) and even leave you some snacks.... More

I recently stayed at Sunset Motor Lodge and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were clean and the service was excellent. I also was able to have my dogs with me. The lady that rents the rooms was such a sweet person and she was so friendly I felt right at home. I will stay there again. If you are... More

Nice, updated and affordable motor lodge. The bed was extremely comfortable and the towels were not "scratchy" like most hotels. They also provided snacks and bottled water in your room upon arrival. We stayed here while on the 127 corridor sale (world's longest yard sale). For anyone interested, it's approximately 15-20 minute drive from 127. There is a dollar store,... More

Bed was great I slept longer than I do at home. I went home and bought the same mattress. The room was excellent. The service was great. I would recommend to all. The lady that checked me in was very nice lots of southern hospitality.

The check in lady was warm and friendly. The area was quiet and peaceful. This place is pet friendly. The room was a bit small. The neon sign was glowing beautifully at dark. We would stay here again.

It was a nice surprise to find such a clean and comfortable lodge at a decent price. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful. My son and I were visiting a friend in Lancaster so this was close and we will definitely stay here again when we visit.
