Great location if you are going to do any of the fun adventurous activities in the area. This room has two doors (front and back) and you can park on either side (reserved spot). Open to the outside. Everything in the room was good! It was clean! It felt 'homey' and safe! The woman at the front desk counter was... More

Although their website is sketchy, and the overall look of the hotel looks rundown, Lil Abner was very nice. It feels safe, which it did not seem at first sight. Stay in a suite, as they are nice and homely. Bring shampoo/comb, as they are not provided and not sold

Going to Natural Bridge/Red River Gorge? Exit 33 Slade is the closest spot. The 'Lil Abner is the only show in town for a motel. Simple place, late 60's motel, decent bed, clean. Pitfalls/Pleasures: This is a dry county, had to drive 6 mi south to "The Beer Store." Yes, that is what the sign on the business said. Then... More

My uncle had passed away and we needed to be in Beattyville early Tue so after getting off work we drove to Li'l Abner Motel. The price was right $70 for two queen beds. Room 6 it was very clean and had a microwave and fridge. Lots of people there and sitting outside in the chairs talking. We was tired... More

This is your old fashion motel to stay at and we enjoyed our stay. The staff very very friendly and helpful. It is located within minutes of the Natural Bridge and Red River Scenic Drive so you can go back at the end of the day to enjoy a beautiful sunset. It does have a pool and stays open until... More

We stayed one night due to its location at Natural Bridge State Park. The staff was very friendly and helpful with a map of the park and must sees. The room was clean, but had a musty smell, walls are thin, as we heard the conversation in the room next to us, but for an inexpensive quick stay, it did... More
