I first experienced Pine Mountain resort and its lodge nearly 40 years ago when I was a child. I'm glad to say it's every bit as spectacular as I'd remembered. And since the last visit, I've explored 5 other continents and most of the U.S. The lodge looks like a smaller version of the rustic lodge near Old Faithful at... More

We opted to push on through the over-night accommodations in town and make our way on up the mountain to the lodge. "Surprise." We stumbled into a timely treat. Being "off season" we chose the cabin down the hill about a 1/4 mile from the resort and got a great rate for the night (half what we would have paid... More

If I could give any advice for bride-to-be's, it would be to reconsider getting married at Pine Mountain!! Worst mistake I ever made! They rented out the rooms that I had reserved and everyone would tell me something different as far as pricing, decor, food, etc. Also, the lodge rooms are extremely dated. Definitely not worth what you pay. I... More

We stayed in one of the cabins and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very clean and fully equipped with a full kitchen and nice rock fireplace. Split wood was stacked on the porch. The only things I wish we would have have brought with us, or they included would be a bit of kindling wood or a fire-starter log, paper and... More

Several reviews complained about the cabins being dark. It's true however to us it felt cozy. Like visiting in times past. Cabins have nice wood burning fireplaces and wood is brought to you each day. Had no problems with anything not working. Looks to be recently renovated. Would defiantly return.

Our room was old, musty, and lacking. The food was good and the lodge is nice, but we stayed in a first floor room with exterior entry and it was no where near what we expected after staying at Cumberland Falls. If you don't plan to spend time in the room, you will enjoy the nature. I went there on... More

Thought we'd never get ourselves up the seemingly long winding road, but what a treasure awaited us! The snow-laden trees were gorgeous, and the photo says it all; we loved our rustic cabin. It was secluded yet close to the lodge, extremely clean, well-appointed, a great fireplace, and all the amenities for a great stay. Loved that our black lab... More

To say we were a bit disappointed coming in, was an understatement. We checked in on Thursday to a very friendly lodge clerk, and even had a pleasant dinner at the lodge that evening. Looking forward to the nature center, naturalist services, and hiking the following day. However, there were no naturalist, no nature center (in fact it has been... More

We stopped here on our way home, mainly to scout the lodge for a possible return trip and overnight stay. The lodge was attractive from the outside, so we ventured inside to check it out. We ended up eating in their dining room. Great views of the mountains from there. The food was really good. I had the Kentucky Hot... More

We were unable to get a room at the lodge a month ahead of time, so stayed in the only other one-bedroom accommodation - a rustic cabin. The lodge looks nice, but I did NOT like the rustic cabins. They were quiet and roomy with a nice fireplace, decent refrigerator, stove and microwave, but were the darkest place I’ve ever... More

Rita E, Manager at Pine Mountain State Resort Park, responded to this review

Thank you for leaving feedback regarding your stay at Pine Mountain. We usually fill up pretty fast this time of the year, especially on the weekends but we take reservations up to three years in advance. The one bedroom log cabins aren't for everyone. I would be happy to recommend a room in the lodge or a 2bedroom cottage for... More
