The setting of this B&B is beautiful and the inside reminds me of a mountain lodge with vaulted oak beam ceilings in the main room and large kitchen and cozy breakfast nook. Don was a wonderful host and made us feel comfortable as soon as we walked in. He is a master woodworker and built this amazing place by himself.... More

This was not our typical Bed and Breakfast experience. The living space was completely shared. There was no TV in the bedroom and we felt like we were intruding to ask to watch a football game. The TV was always on in the living room at a loud volume and he was stationed on the couch. We were shocked that... More

While Don was a gracious host and the woodwork in the house was amazing, this was not what we had expected. The home is very small (only 2 guest rooms) and there was junk in the yard. It is definitely off the beaten path, so if you are looking for seclusion, you will find it. It just isn't your typical... More

We stayed with Don on the first night of our 3 weeks roadtrip trough the south of the US. It was really a great start. Don is very nice and he shares our passion for travelling and we spend the evening watching eachothers travel movies and fotos. The house, he built himself is phantastic, really grest architecture! Breakfast was great,... More

This is an excellent choice for those looking for a quiet stay near Mammoth Cave National Park. Twin Oaks is way out in the countryside, and it's worth the drive. The home is beautiful -- Don's craftmanship shines throughout. The main floor room is spacious and comfortable. It opens on to the kitchen area, so it's not completely set off,... More

We stayed at the Twin Oaks Observatory B&B for one night on our way to Cincinnati. The directions Don Hahn, the owner/builder, sent us ahead of time were very good, and he was a very pleasant, friendly host. We were a little late arriving, so he suggested a couple of restaurants in town (Munfordville) for us. On our way to... More

We checked in on a Friday afternoon and checked out Saturday afternoon. We were in town to see Mammoth Cave which is about 20 minutes south of Munfordville (where this place is). We paid $95 for the room. Check-in This B&B is in a beautiful area on a nice street. A little tricky to find -- when you do pull... More

I usually don't leave poor reviews - and I hope that this was a one off issue - but I would want to know before booking somewhere that this had happened to others. Back in December I booked a night at the Twin Oaks for myself, mother and sister as a part of a Christmas gift for my mom. We... More
