I drove west through thunderstorms and blinding rain. Traffic on the interstate slowed to 45, then 30 mph. Eventually, the skies cleared and I kept on going until I was tired. My poor cat, travelling cross-country with me to my new home and job, spent the day under the clutch pedal; squish, ugh, squish, ugh. Morehead at dusk. I got... more

Reviews below say that this is the nicest hotel in Morehead. Well if thats true, don't stay in Morehead. The hotel is clearly old, and outdated. Rooms were not modern, old TVs that were static-y. Carpeting was worn. Bathroom barely had a sink, with no place to put your stuff it was so small. Its a noisy area -- there's... more

This review is based on a subsequent stay at this property. In that review I stated how the motel was the best in Morehead, KY. A stay this past weekend is beginning to change my mind. The property is beginning to look very shabby, probably due to lack of maintenance. Our room had numerous holes poked in the walls, a... more

I read another review that said the beds were very hard. My room had the opposite: a mattress that was soft and in need of replacement. Other than that, the room was fine. Hotel has indoor pool, but no exercise room. Other than that, it is your standard Holiday Inn Express. I think it is your best option in Morehead. more

Booked online for King suite. There on business. Room had ZERO electrical outlets at desk except lamp. We have numerous hard drives and computers. The room had jacuzzi taking up all the space, and we did not ask for the jacuzzi when booking. So we requested another room, and were refused - clerk stating none were available, yet parking lot... more

We stayed at this property during the MSU graduation (May 9&10). We selectedt this hotel after seeing some of those "Stay Smart" ad on TV (amusing). We have no complaint. We enjoyed our stay. Staff was very friendly and polite. Breakfast saved us lot of money. They had everything we would want on breakfast! Thanks Julie & Alby Morkel Buffalo,... more

Hotel was fine - an average Holiday Inn Express. Not a lot of choices in Morehead - this was probably the best of what was there. Breakfast was good (hot). No fitness room and no options in town to use. Clean room, comfortable bed, no noise issues. The basics for me were covered. more

We went to Morehead for a family reunion and needed a nice place to stay. We had stayed at this hotel several years ago and found it to be very clean and comfortable. During this recent stay we found it to be even better. The beds were fairly comfortable and rooms very clean. They have a very nice pool. Continental... more

The best Holiday Inn Exp. I've ever stayed in. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was good with a large selection but it gets old pretty fast eating the same thing day after day. The front desk staff were helpful and polite, so were the housekeepers. Great location! In walking distance to Wal*Mart, Food Lion, Ponderosa, Shoney's (Which I wouldn't... more
