We stayed there for a couple of nights while on a break, it's a very good location for traveling around North Norfolk, they couldn't do enough for you, the room was very nice and the food was extremely good, will definitely be going back in the future.

I've already written one review for this place which they said had been published but it hasn't so I'm writing it again as I can't recommend this place enough!! The food was wonderful, completely above our expectations!! So good in fact that as we were leaving we booked to go again in a fortnight. The owners are a lovely couple... More

Stayed at the Blue Boar for 3 nights. Very friendly welcome from Laura. Room was spotless and extremely comfortable. Food, prepared by James, was excellent, very generous portions, a good selection and reasonably priced. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and would definitely stay here again and have no hesitation in highly recommending the Blue Boar.

Stopped here for 4 nights for work in the area and I couldn't fault anything the landlady is very heplfull and the food is excelent. Just be aware that they don't open the pub on a Tuesday evening so we had to eat else where and it wasn't as good and cost a fair bit more than here. Oh and... More

A very charming B&B with a landlady who goes out of her way to provide you with a helpful service, very chatty and happy to provide comprehensive directions for nightly entertainment. I stayed in Room 2 (single room) but satisfied my requirements as there was ample room in the ensuite, with adequate furnishings in the room (wardrobe, drawers, fan, mirror... More

The Blue Boar Inn is an absolute hidden gem! The room was perfect, incredibly clean and comfortable, and excellent value for money. A really nice selection of food available from the pub, with a good breakfast the next morning too. The service here is second to none, extremely friendly and accommodating landlady. Will definitely be a regular visitor from now... More

Came across the Blue Boar from late rooms for a weekend with my family. We were late coming in due to work purposes and on arrival we were pleasantly greeted by the land lady who went out of her way to provide us with food, even though it was after hours. The level of service was second to none. From... More

Was allocated room 5, very large room for such a small pub with lots of storage space (much needed!). Comfiest bed I've stayed in, was like sleeping on a cloud. Felt it was very much worth the value just for the fantastic bed. Cosy pub with excellent food options, not just your standard pub fare, hidden away in the countryside.... More

Even though the landlady tries hard to please her guests the standard of the room is not worth £120.00 per night.. Far too many things that are wrong, over looked or not bothered with!! We stayed in the family room the bedside lamps were not working only half a toilet roll supplied no tea spoon for the teas and coffees... More

A brief weekend stay at the Blue Boar, with excellent meals in the pub. Although initially disappointed with the room we were allocated (Room 1 is very small and with very little space to hang clothes, and an unpleasant smell from the kitchen extractor unit which was placed on the flat roof outside our bedroom window). We were relieved to be able... Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The Blue Boar Inn is a coaching inn dating from 1685. Bought in 2008 by us, James and Melinda, this listed building has been lovingly restored. The bar has a beamed ceiling and an inglenook fireplace which has a roaring fire on colder days. In the summer you can relax in the beer garden and hopefully enjoy the sunshine! The garden is fully enclosed and has swings & toys for the children. The restaurant can seat up to 50 diners and can be booked for parties and functions. Our food is locally sourced as much as possible, with our pork produced next door at "Perfick Pork", beef from Binham, crabs and mussels (when in season) from Brancaster to mention but a few! James is the chef and has worked at many well know restaurants in Norfolk as well as working in Australia, New Zealand and Bermuda. We have five en-suite bedrooms, and these have been tastefully and comfortably decorated, each with tea / coffee making facilities, free wifi, hairdryer and colour TV. Our aim is to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible, so if there is anything we may have overlooked, please do not hesitate to ask, we will do our very best to accommodate you. ... more   less
