The Hammack-Moore was my first B&B which I have ever stayed. The house is beautiful, located just minutes of walking distance to several excellent resturants of differt styles to fit all needs and desires. In the morning I walked to a cute coffee shop in the town, literally steps from the Hammack home, and had breakfast which was included in... More

What a lovely B&B! The Hammack-Moore House is right on Main Street in Madisonville. The B&B is period decorated late 19th early 20th century. We stayed over New Years and the house was decorated for the holidays. Rooms are large. We stayed in the Sunrise Room, which has a private bath, but not attached. This was great for us. Close... If you are looking for a quality B&B experience - this is it! BUT as the website warns - there are trains that pass through at any time, and being on Main Street, traffic noise can diminish the ambiance and a night's sleep! Classically Victorian, impeccably clean, comfortable beds. Being a sleeper sensitive to noise - from forced-air conditioning to... More

Could not have found a better venue for our little weekend getaway! The house is so lovely and personable you feel like your walking into your dream home away from home. Prime location for great dining and shopping downtown as well. We will definitely be going back.

My wife and I were guest at The Hammack-Moore House on 8/22/13. We were lucky since the owner had had recent surgery and had thought all rooms were blocked for reservations. One room slipped through the net and we were lucky enough to get that room. We were the only guest that night. Before dinner, we enjoyed sitting on the... More

I stayed at this B&B for Christmas and was not disappointed. The house was beautifully decorated and very quiet. The bed was very comfortable and I slept so well. This was in the middle of downtown Madisonville so it was easy to walk downtown.

Home was beautiful, beautifully decorated, and spotless. We stayed in Victorian Room on 1st for which had a door to the front porch. Loved hearing the train - like stepping back in time. Highly recommend this room if double bed is not a concern. Gracious host. Since we were the only guests having breakfast owner asked if we wanted to... More

My fiancé and I are planning to relocate to the area soon and made a trip to Madisonville in search of a place to live. I booked a room at The Hammack-Moore House, because neither of us had ever experienced a Bed and Breakfast. Not only was the home beautiful, well maintained, incredibly clean and comfortable, but in addition our... More

I showed up in a snowstorm, having flown into Louisville and driven several hours for a meeting in nearby Hopkinsville in the morning. The owner met me and showed me in. I was the only guest, and stayed in a beautifully appointed room on the first floor. The owners do not live on-site, and I was left to explore this... More

The Hammack-Moore place was a wonderful place to stay. My brother and I took our Mother to Sacremento for her 55th High School Reunion. I booked this B and B for the special occasion. We had so much fun. The place was beautiful, Mrs. Shirley was a pleasure to be with. She really made the stay 'something special' for our... More
