This is an older hotel but very clean and neat. The staff I interacted with were all wonderful. The valet was busy on my arrival but still very polite. The front desk staff greeting was nice and prompt (thank you Zack). The concierge level was clean and had a nice selection available for a pre dinner nibble. The attendant was... More

My friends and I did not actually stay at the Seelbach, but my friend lost her drivers licence there and the staff helped so much in finding it! I was amazed at how helpful the staff was and we weren't even guests at the hotel. If they treated us that well, I can't imagine how well they treat their guests!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Steelbach. The hotel itself is amazing. When we stepped into the lobby, I felt like we had time traveled to the 1920's. I knew that F. Scott Fitzgerald had stayed at the Steelbach, but until we spoke to the staff, I wasn't aware that Tom & Daisy's wedding in the Great Gatsby was... More

Upon arrival to this hotel I felt like I was stepping back in-time. Check-in wasn't as fast as other Hilton properties I stayed at in the U.S. but my room was ready. The room (501) was nice, pretty clean but small and on a corner. Did notice a spot on the left side pillow on the second day that wasn't... More

My Kentucky home is always on my heart. The Seelbach is a very charming hotel with a great history. I would suggest you take a guided tour of the hotel to appreciate this gem of a place. They have three places to dine. The bar is one of the best bourbon bars in the world. "The Oak Room" is a "to... We have stayed during many past derbys, we stayed there again this summer to be close to 4th street live during forecastle festival. It is so very nice in the lobby and the bar off the lobby is so vintage cool. The actual facilities and your room are very antiquated. The room is always smaller than you would expect and... More

This is the reason I am giving this property a 4: when I arrived at the hotel in the rain a few weeks ago, there was no doorman/valet person to meet me. I called the hotel and told the person I spoke to I was outside and was told I had to wait for the valet to come. I waited... More

Stayed at this beautiful hotel for five nights for the USA Gymnastics Championships and it was great! Free shuttle service to and from airport. Definitely worth staying on the concierge level. You will get a pretty good breakfast, afternoon hors_d'oeuvres and evening desserts. It is open the majority of the day, unlike most concierge levels. Comfortable bed and pretty good... More

From the moment you walk through the doors of The Seelbach, you see and feel the rich history of this gorgeous hotel. If you're a fan of The Great Gatsby, this is a must. The rooms are small, but nonetheless wonderful. Remember, this hotel was built in 1905 - large luxurious rooms were not the norm back then. Go to... More

The parking was pretty good for a downtown hotel. After you locate the garage by a couple turns around the block, it's right behind the hotel and convenient to get in the back door. It seemed that the front of the hotel had no ramp for luggage so you could not use the carts to take in luggage if you... More
