4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013 NEW

The front desk was very courteous and professional. Our room was a nice size, bathrooms are a little small but I get it! The disappointing part was when we returned from our day on the Bourbon trail (4:30) our room had not been cleaned. I know they were extremely busy, but while most had checked out on Sunday we were... More

The hotel is small and the rooms are extreemly small. With that being said, it's a great, quaint hotel. The decore is fabulous and I enjoy my stay in Louisville. Struggle a bit with the bathrooms and the tub/shower unit. It was my 2nd stay at this hotel and both experiences were good except for bathroom shower.

As the title explains, my experience here was underwhelming. I've stayed at quite a few of the Hilton family of hotels and this was my least favorite. The building itself is gorgeous and there is a lot of history, but the amenities are lacking. There was one trash bin in the entire room and it was located next to the... More

This hotel is located right in the middle of downtown. During the day you dont realize how centrally located you are, until you pop your head out later in the evening and find the $th Street "entertainment alley" is exactly acroos from the Seelbach. The hotel itself is like a baby Palmer House, from Chicago. The lobby is beautiful with... More

I was looking forward to staying in the historic hottel for the first time in many years. Stay was ruined at check-in. Front desk personnel were rude and made me uncomfortable. Bar and resta were great, though.urant

Dear Tom C., Thank you for letting us know about your recent stay at the Seelbach Hilton and for returning to the hotel after some years away. While I certainly appreciate your comments regarding the Front Desk staff, I would much appreciate any specific information that would allow the situation to be researched more completely. We take great pride in... More

My wife and I spent our wedding night in a junior suite at the Seelbach Hilton. The front desk staff was nice, as were the valet staff and bellhops. The room was clean and well decorated. However, the vending machines on our floor didn't work correctly, about half the channels on our tv didn't work, and this certainly wasn't a... More

I read reviews of this hotel prior to our stay and the consensus I got was that it was "small". Well, generally a historic hotel (located in the heart of downtown) will be. With that in mind I was pleasantly surprised! The actual size of our room was quite generous (2 double beds) with a desk/chair, dresser (tv on top)... More

Even though I was at this hotel on a business trip, I still reveled in it's charm and hospitality. The dark wood bar is beautiful and serves genuine mint juleps that are not to be missed (even if you don't like bourbon). I ate lobser in the Oak Room, yummy! Located close to the heart of the city. Going back... More

Our flight was delayed so we arrived later than we had planned and things continued to go downhill from there. They gave us a room with a full size bed that they insist is a queen size but the real problem is the room is just old and run down. The room was 80 degrees when we arrived and while... More

My wife & I stayed here recently & had an "OK" experience. The location is very close to "Fourth street live", literally two minutes walking from all the activity on offer. The general neighborhood is dilapidated with lots of vacant storefronts & homeless people staggering around. The hotel itself is nice & grand looking inside, if somewhat tired. The staff... More
