As a lover of old, classic hotels, I was ready to savor the best of Louisville. The Seelbach's prices hinted high-class quality, but the stay offered only a few such hints. This is not to say it was a negative experience. It was quite good, bordering on excellent. But there were a few flaws. Our shower/tub drain was very slow,... More

We had a nice stay. Location is superb. This is the first time when visiting that hotel seemed completely unaffected by my husband. No one asked for his autograph or a picture. This tells me that they must be used to the elite staying here or they don't watch basketball. Either way, it was a welcome change.

Full of authentic history and charm. There was even a NY times best seller chalked full of anecdotes on the famous guest over the years I like luxury and this hotel has affordable opulence We loved the restaurant We very much enjoyed the entire 4 day stay

A beautiful bar advertised as one of the 50 best bars in the world with terrible service the server was on her phone while a wait for service for almost 20 minutes she never greet me I could see 4 bartenders and only one server then she finally greet me after all the time I was waiting i ordered some... Beside the noisy hallway at night, the broken tile in the bathroom that I stubbed my toe on and, the stopped up drain in the shower the over all experience left a lot to be desired. We struggled to get through the entrance door while leaving as two employees stood by watching as we left with our suitcases in tow.

We celebrated our anniversary of our first trip to this area. Margy made sure it was memorable by including some special touches. Because the hotel is older I was concerned the room and bathroom would be too small but I was pleasantly surprised. The bed was plenty big and really comfortable. Hotel was beautiful. Service was fantastic and location was... More

The Seelbach is a special place with history and elegance. Small rooms (as most historic hotels have), but not a hotel room that you can't identify when you wake up. Gorgeous lobby and ratheskeller. Great place to stay when going out in Louisville.

I put together a weekend get away for the lady and myself part of which included the Seelbach. The only saving factor was staying on the 7th floor were we had access to gratis water and sodas - everything else was disappointing.

I reserved this room and received military per diem price which was half the normal pricing. If I had reserved this room and paid full price I would have been very upset. This room was small with a queen size bed, it had the most amazingly narrow chairs for the desk and lounge type chair could not even sit in... More

It is unfortunate that such a historic hotel has such poor quality service staff. We arrived in a car of 3 women. The valet staff seemed impatient for us to get our bags out of the car so that they could park it. I struggled, but got all the bags out. We then had to carry them upstairs to the... More
