We stayed at Tucker House over Christmas for our first time. My nephew lives in louisville and I found Tucker House on Trip Advisor. We were close to the city, my nephew, yet in the country. It is a beautiful old home. We were told we had run of the house. Breakfast was tasty with their special recipes. We entertained... More

My husband and I stayed four nights at 1840 Tucker and this was the perfect place for a visit to Louisville. The location is an easy 12 miles from Louisville but still in an area with restaurants and shopping. The property is very special with a perfect restoration of this historic property. Even though the house was constructed in 1840,... More

Loved staying in the Elizabeth room. Everything was wonderful. The decor of the room was authentic and the owners were so nice. The breakfast was huge and delicious. I would highly recommend staying here.

We really enjoyed our fall getaway. Gracious hostess who gave us the tour and was very relaxed despite having a full house. Especially enjoyed all the little extras- microwave, fridge with drinks, snacks, fresh cookies, deck. The first morning our breakfast was excellent but the next morning it was over the top amazing- quiche, warm apples, bacon, goetta, and a... More

Such a wonderful restful stay. I was taken care of like a family friend and I'm still dreaming of the breakfast! My bedroom was very comfortable and I haven't slept so well at a hotel in a long time. I spent the late afternoon doing a little work on the porch with a cat on my lap and then sat... More

My wife and I were in Louisville for a combination business trip / pleasure weekend. We came from Texas and met friends who came in from Pennsylvania. Both couples truly enjoyed our stay. It's an easy 20 minute drive into Louisville proper. For one evening out, we wend by Uber so that we could better enjoy our night out.Steve and... More

We have stayed in many bed and breakfasts over the past twenty years. I can safely say that our long weekend at the 1840 Tucker House was one of the best B&B stays ever! There are many reasons for this--the interior of the house is impeccably decorated with antiques and true-to-period finishes. It is also a very comfortable, quiet, and... More

My wife and i stayed on a Monday night. Conveniently located near I 264 and 64, Tucker house is tucked away on a small curvy country road. Driving by the Papa Johns HQ waters falls was really neat. They have a great swimming pool, back yard and privacy. The home is full of historic antiques and the breakfast was excellent.... More

During a recent trip to Louisville for a family vacation with the kids and grandparents we decided to stay at Tucker House. We ended up occupying all 4 rooms in the house so we were the only guests there during our stay. The house is beautiful and grounds are well kept. We enjoyed the use of the pool after a... More

Tucker House B and B is 20 minutes outside Louisville City but it is worth the trip. Owners were so helpful with every question and even printed our airline boarding passes. The breakfasts were wonderful and I will even try to make the Stuffed French Toast. Had a wonderful time and hope they have many more years at the 1840... More
