My daughter and I stayed at the Samuel Culbertson House the very beginning of December,2015, as we needed a place close to downtown but all the hotels were sold out for some reason (it wasn't even a weekend). I found this B and B on Trip Advisor and of course, going on past reviews, had every confidence in booking a... More

We stayed in the S. Culbertson B&B in January. It was a wonderful experience. The mansion is beautiful, but the furnishings make one think of a museum; unbelievable. Our host was very nice and answered every question this very inquisitive mind could throw at him. Breakfast was wonderful. It was a B&B to remember. We will go back and we... More

We stayed one night in the Culbertson Mansion Bed and Breakfast Inn in Louisville on Thursday, October 22, 2015. Lovely on the outside, but just wait until the front door is opened. Gracious host will show you to your room as you pass through the lobby which is completely grand and rich. You will pass by the dining room which... More

Stayed 3 nights in the General Lawton Room. Traveling with husband and 2 teenage daughters, this suite had 2 beds and lots of room. The house has lots of neat things, located in beautiful neighborhood, walking distance to some restaurants and attractions. Rudy - Inn Keeper, and Jason - helper, are great hosts. Enjoyed our stay and definitely will go... More

We stayed at the Samuel Culbertson Mansion during the first part of October and over the St. James Court Art Show. We were really fortunate to even get a room in the house! It's a perfect location for the show, since the show begins right outside the front door. The home itself is just so amazing! It's beautifully designed and... More

My first trip to Louisville was made extra special by staying at the Culbertson Mansion. I have stayed at many B&Bs all over the East, Southeast, and New England. The Culbertson was by far the nicest. The decor, artwork, and fixtures take you back to the Victorian era. Elegance is what describes it most. Breakfast was delicious! Must try the... More

We spent a full weekend at the mansion, and loved every minute! Rudy and Jason were wonderful hosts - attending to every need and making us feel like royalty. But then, it's not hard to feel like a queen in such a marvelous home with such rich history! What a joy. We will certainly be back!

Jason and Rudy are the most welcoming hosts and such nice, interesting people. The home that Rudy has built is phenomenal, an antique store/museum all in one magnificent Victorian home. (ask to see the basement!) The location is in the middle of Old Louisville with some beautiful homes. We took a walking tour one morning and found Belgravia court and... More

The B&B is well kept and very representative of the period - almost to the point of having too many crowded collections. I am accustomed to a little more interaction from the host but was sadly left wanting in this case. The room was large and comfortable, meeting our needs..
