I recently attended a conference held at Griffin Gate Marriott. From the moment we pulled up, I was immediately impressed. The lobby is gorgeous and comfortable. The room was a little smaller than I am used to but the busy schedule of the conference kept me out of the room most of the time anyway. I loved the conference space... More

The hotel has a good restaurant and the concierge lounge has very nice offerings in the evening. Employees are all very friendly. The rooms need updating, furniture is scratched and needs replacing. The beds are very comfortable but the bathrooms are so small. We were given a balcony but it is nothing but an exposed area of concrete with no... More

Not a place to visit unless you like the late 80's. Although clean the hotel comes across as outdated. Our second floor room gave a stunning view of the roof with a jock cup added for good measure. The room is small and the Wifi is NOT free. Overall I would not recommend the hotel unless you like dated and... More

Hi Davej007, Thank you so much for posting a review. I am genuinely sorry to learn that we didn't meet your expectations. Our property recently completed a full room renovation and our lobby and lounge renovation. Griffin Gate Resort recently celebrated 30 years but these renovations are designed to keep all of our guest areas stylish and highly functional. There... More

The staff really makes this lovely hotel an even better experience and the renovations were beautifully done. While we aren't fans of the memory foam beds, there is no denying their quality. We stay at this hotel less because the beds aren't good for a neck injury I sustained, but then, we also travel less because of my injury. The... More

Griffin Gate is a seasoned hotel on the outskirts of Lexington. We have stayed here many times and are always treated well by the staff, In fact this time, they upgraded us to a suite which was a treat! I enjoy the Sunday brunch there too.

Both the hotel bar and JW restaurant had a nice atmosphere and quick service. The breakfast bar had an omelet station, hot breakfast food station, as well as pastries, fruit, cereals, and dairy products. It was always delicious and well stocked. Our party of ~30 guests were always able to be find what we needed. A negative...I had two different... More

Passing through Lexington on my way back to Ohio from Berea, I wanted to spend one night in the area in order to visit the Woodford Reserve Distillery, the Mary Todd Lincoln House and Ashland, Henry Clay's estate. Through Priceline, I ended up at Griffin Gate Marriott (at a rate far, far below the rate listed on the hotel's website).... More

We have gone to this hotel more than once when in Kentucky and it has yet to fail us. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We try to go the package that includes breakfast. All the rooms we've had have been very nice. Twice we've gotten rooms with wonderful outside decks attached. They do have wifi but you have... More
