Wonderful weekend stay at the Lyndon House Sept 20-21. Within walking distance of downtown Lexington. Beautifully restored house in a historic part of Lexington, close to Transylvania University. Host, Anton, serves wonderful breakfasts, and cooks some items to order. Several little extras such as "Netflix". Highly recommended

My husband and i stayed at the Lyndon House on 9/2/14 and 9/3/14. Our room was very inviting and nicely cooled by the window air conditioner while the central AC was being replaced. And the beds were very comfortable. The location is excellent. The neighborhood is filled with stately old homes that are in varying stages of renovation. The home... More

The Brezing room was very nicely appointed and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Anton is very nice, friendly and informative. We will probably stay there again in the future instead of a hotel downtown.

When we visited the property in August, unfortunately the central air conditioning system was out. Fortunately, there were individual ACs in each room or otherwise we would not have been able to stay. This made enjoying any other part of the home and having breakfast very uncomfortable. The towels in our room were also mildewed and I would recommend that... More

Beautiful old home located downtown and next to lovely street with old historic homes of the period. Close walk or drive to restaurants. The Bella Brezing room was large and lovely with up-to-date bathroom. Enjoyed reading the story of Miss Belle Brezing which was provided in the room. Breakfast was delicious and included a variety of options. Anton was gracious.... More

The Keeneland Room was a large, attractive room with a very comfortable bed. I enjoyed the delicious breakfast. My bathroom was across the hall, updated, and very clean and nice. The bathroom door had a brass plate to clearly indicate that the Keeneland bath was assigned to my room. However, I realized that I should keep the bathroom locked because... More

Four of us stayed here on Monday. This is a very charming place. The owner has spent a lot of time and money bringing an historic house back to glory. The attention to detail was superb. Location in Lexington is excellent. The breakfast was outstanding - french toast, fruit, cereal, bacon, breads etc. The owner, John, is a former hospitality... More

Stayed in the Headley room for the last two nights. The room is huge, with an immensely comfortable bed, reading chairs, and plenty of light to read by. Food is very good, but not exceptional. There is an elevator, but you have to carry your luggage up 12 or so concrete steps to enter the building. Parking can be difficult... More

For our first visit to Lexington, and based on the very favorable reviews, we decided on the Lyndon House. Great choice! Our host, Anton, is a very engaging conversationalist – and he makes a great breakfast to boot! Lyndon House sits amongst a number of beautiful houses and is just lovely inside. All the modern conveniences and yet all the... More

Stayed for the first time at Lyndon House. Very comfortable in Belle Brezing room. Enjoyed reading a little from the book on the nightstand about the lady the room named after. Anton is a gracious host. Pleasant to talk to. He directed us to a little local but hopping brewery and across the street smoked meat place for dinner and... More
