This is a review of the State Dock houseboat rentals in Cumberland State Park. Our boat was in the 900 series. The staff was very helpful and quick to fulfill needs. Check in and out is handled well. They take the boat out of and return it to the marina to insure your (and the boats) safety. They make sure... More

We used to come to Lure Lodge every year when our children were little. It is sad to see how it has changed. We haven't been here for about 4 years. On the positive side the rooms have been updated and the nasty, dirty, old carpets are gone. New TVs and nice counters in the bathroom area have made the... More

The rooms were updated and light. Very clean. The grounds were beautiful, as well as the scenery. The water is about 4ft higher than normal, so I can't tell you if the shore fishing is as accessible. We still mange to find spots though....! It is a boaters paradise. The rocky hills are gorgeous and natural since there's hardly any... More

Our cabin was completely INFESTED with mice! Droppings were everywhere! On the pillows, in between the sheets, on the couch, in all of the drawers in the kitchen, and on every conceivable flat surface. We had the cleaning crew "clean" our room TWICE the day we checked in and it was STILL covered in mice feces! Obviously our definition of... More

Our room was very beautiful.....We had a balcony that overlooked the Lake....It was very clean and looked as if it had recently been updated....There were many things for families, especially with small children too do.....Plenty of towels and wash clothes in our room......We had dinner in the dining room, overlooking the lake.....The dinner was good, not exactly....But all in all... Recently my husband and myself stayed at the Lure Lodge. The room was nice, well appointed( coffee maker, iron, hair dryer) and we had a small patio with a view of the lake. The dining room has an entire wall of windows looking out at the lake. There is an indoor pool, hot tub, tennis courts, basketball, frisbee and mini... More

This park is in the middle of nowhere and 40 miles from real civilization! Unless you have a boat don't bother going here. Without a boat this place is as boring as it gets. The lodge is in serious need of an update; hello, 1970 called and booked a room FOREVER! The Lure Lodge Restaurant was a complete disaster! The... More

Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was nice. Restaurant was a little troublesome since we ordered off menu. Out of hot sauce and country ham was not very good. I ordered a Reuben and I think they were saving something on the meat.

We have stayed at most of the KY state resort parks, and if this isn’t the best, it’s definitely in the top 3! We were evidently given a handicapped room which was large, with a huge bathroom. Most important for me was the fact that it was very clean, quiet, had a comfortable bed and very friendly personnel. The room... More

My husband and I arrived a day earlier than our houseboat friends at Lake Cumberland and thought we would try to get a room at Lure Lodge or Pumpkin Creek Lodge. We were so surprised to find out that our room was a mere $75 and our room was so clean and cute - king size bed - so comfy,... More
