This is probably my 7th time to stay at the Shaker Village and will probably be my last. On the positive, it is a beautiful authentic Shaker Village in which you can stay in the actual building built by the Shakers. But I've seen the prices go up year by year and I think they are now priced beyond what... More

I visited here with my parents and it was such a treat! The buildings are beautiful and it is a perfect place to take pictures. I will have to go back and hike on their 40+ miles of trails! It is a great place for kids, families, college students, and all other ages. I recommend this to everyone that passes... More

I stayed here for just a night on a tour of Kentucky. The rooms are brilliant, staff were attentive and helpful and the whole property offers a unique and very relaxing stay. The lantern 'spirit' tours are a must. The bed I stayed on was one of the most comfortable I've ever stayed on. Excellent stuff.

We enjoyed one night! It was Clean and fairly modern considering. The smoke alarm started beeping the next morning so that woke us up, but otherwise it was a peaceful sleep. The bed was comfortable. We enjoyed our ghost tour Friday night but it was more of a history lesson. Not that many spooky events have happened there I guess.... More

Saying Shaker Village is the #1 hotel in Harrodsburg is like saying it is the world's tallest midget. Have you been to Harrodsburg? I spent one night at Shaker Village and one night at another hotel/motel that is best forgotten. Shaker Village is a great place to visit. Very peaceful, quiet and very relaxing. Staying overnight is another matter. The... More

Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill is the site of a former Shaker settlement. The buildings and rooms are very simple but nice. We stayed in the West Sisters Shop as many of their rooms were already reserved and there was nothing available in the Inn. They were having their Harvest Festival the weekend we were there. The rooms were large... More

I heard about Shaker Village from a friend. I made reservations for a two night stay in the East Family building. Our room was large with two beds, two easy chairs, a non functioning fireplace and a decent sized bathroom. The ceilings are high and there is little decoration in the room. You park your vehicle a distance behind the... More

If you're looking to get away from it all, this is the place. We stayed here for just one night but thought it was a great opportunity to experience a different lifestyle. Our room, located on the 1st floor in the East Dwelling, was spacious and comfortable. The biggest selling point is the peace and quiet -- I imagine the... More

Our room was on the third floor up a winding staircase. While pretty it was exhausting going up and down. The room was nice but not as clean as it should have been. It did have some interesting features. The staff was friendly but not overly so. The front desk was helpful to get us on a riverboat ride when... More

Our room in the East Family House had comfortable King size bed and was very spacious with a modern bathroom. The food served is wholesome and enjoyable. Our introduction to the Shaker lifestyle and beliefs was very interesting and well done, particularly the lady who sang and explained the power of music and dance in Shaker worship. The whole experience... More
