Enjoy staying right in the midst of this 3000 acre National Historic Landmark. Our room was quiet, peaceful, spotlessly clean - furnished with hand made reproductions of period furniture. Up to date bathroom. Deer greeted us upon arrival, and the human staff was warmly welcoming and professional. Sunday luncheon was amazing. Gift shop features locally made brooms, woven items, pottery,... More

We have stayed at Shaker Village numerous times over the last 20 years. The village is beautiful, but services have been drastically cut back. Ten months ago I booked 4 rooms for a weekend. Unfortunately, the rooms were spread from one end of the village to the other. The price has increased 20% and overnight guests now have to pay... More

Our room was in the main building where you check in, on the 3rd floor. It was a GORGEOUS (and clean)room with shaker style furniture, a memory foam mattress, a curved wall and beautiful floors. However, being upstairs from the main check in area, dining room and gift shop was very noisy. Not at bedtime because no one was down... More

Visiting the village is nice. If it is raining, there are no close parking lots to the Trustees Hall for eating and it is a walk from accommodations that are in the old restored buildings. We stayed last weekend and it was quite chilly. I asked why the heat was blowing cold air and I was told that the heating... More

This is probably my 7th time to stay at the Shaker Village and will probably be my last. On the positive, it is a beautiful authentic Shaker Village in which you can stay in the actual building built by the Shakers. But I've seen the prices go up year by year and I think they are now priced beyond what... More

I visited here with my parents and it was such a treat! The buildings are beautiful and it is a perfect place to take pictures. I will have to go back and hike on their 40+ miles of trails! It is a great place for kids, families, college students, and all other ages. I recommend this to everyone that passes... More

I stayed here for just a night on a tour of Kentucky. The rooms are brilliant, staff were attentive and helpful and the whole property offers a unique and very relaxing stay. The lantern 'spirit' tours are a must. The bed I stayed on was one of the most comfortable I've ever stayed on. Excellent stuff.

We enjoyed one night! It was Clean and fairly modern considering. The smoke alarm started beeping the next morning so that woke us up, but otherwise it was a peaceful sleep. The bed was comfortable. We enjoyed our ghost tour Friday night but it was more of a history lesson. Not that many spooky events have happened there I guess.... More

Saying Shaker Village is the #1 hotel in Harrodsburg is like saying it is the world's tallest midget. Have you been to Harrodsburg? I spent one night at Shaker Village and one night at another hotel/motel that is best forgotten. Shaker Village is a great place to visit. Very peaceful, quiet and very relaxing. Staying overnight is another matter. The... More

Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill is the site of a former Shaker settlement. The buildings and rooms are very simple but nice. We stayed in the West Sisters Shop as many of their rooms were already reserved and there was nothing available in the Inn. They were having their Harvest Festival the weekend we were there. The rooms were large... More
