Daniela greeted me like an old friend the moment I arrived, and my every need was accommodated with huge warm smiles. Service just doesn't get better than this. The view was delightful, the room was spacious, modern and spotless. And the food was 5 star in both quality and presentation. The Atlantic Salmon with (real, house-made) hollandaise was divine, and... More

This delightful place is situated right on the beach, a great starting point for a walk along the foreshore and jetty. The view from the room was stunning. A great place to relax, I only wish we could have stayed another night. The owners were very accommodating of our late arrival. The room was spotless and modern.

Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. We are making a few changes to the bistro and surrounds and hope you can return to experience these. We'll open some doors out to a relaxing alfresco area and offer tapas and sharing platters for all day dining and drinks. These will be completed before the end of the year so hope... More

We have been staying at the Seagate for approximately 5 years. This is why we keep coming back to stay. We have had the pleasure of 3 managers and have always found them all to be friendly and helpful along with all the staff in the restaurant. The service in the restaurant is excellent and the food exactly what one... More

Thankyou for your feedback. We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay. We'll be working on our menu and wine list to include more SA produce. Currently we are making a few changes to the bistro and will include a pizza oven and gelati. Looking forward to your next visit and comments on the changes. Thanks again - Daniela More

Dined here recently with friends on a Sunday Night. Food was good although food service was a little slow. Reasonably priced and staff were attentive and friendly. Well worth a visit in a very pretty location.

Thankyou, we really appreciate your feedback. We have ourselves only recently moved back to Moonta Bay to manage our business. We are looking forward to creating a happy and friendly environment with great food and service. Being a new team has meant that food service was not as prompt as it should have been however we have been working hard... More

Stayed her 2 nights in April. We have no complaints about the room whatsoever. It was large and had most things you needed. However, getting your luggage up to your room was hard. You had to lug everything from your car (which was parked not as close as you would like) up quite a few steep steps which was quite... More

In response to your review. I have taken your allegations towards my management staff very seriously, All guests at the Seagate are treated with respect in a friendly and inviting manner. As my wife and I have only been Managing the Seagate for 9 months and are not locals we have tried very hard to raise the Seagate standards. Unfortunately... More

We booked two rooms and were impressed with the view looking out over the ocean and jetty and beach. It was our first stay at the Gateway and we weren't disappointed at all. The rooms were clean and very neat. Yes, like others we found the walls a little thin at times but it didn't hamper our stay at all.... More

Thank you Steve and Sue for a lovely stay before heading home to the desert. It was especially kind of you to keep the restaurant open for our arrival and have the air conditioning on in the room. Highly recommend the room, the restaurant and the cafe. Staff in the restaurant were very welcoming also. We stayed here two years... More

Stayed 1 night in this hotel, and was pleasantly surprised. It was very clean, tidy, very spacious, with a great view. Beds were comfortable, with extra pillows in the cupboard. Supplied plenty of tea & coffee, and quality bathroom supplies Bit pricey for a country town, considering it doesn't include any breakfast Doesn't have in room safe, which for tourists... More

Well I am a 4th gen local in business and every now and then we check out the places we don't frequent. We had not had a meal at this place for some time as it was rather bad last time and thought we would give it a go and see wether it had changed. It again was very disappointing,... More

In response to your review, Your comments were taken seriously, until you began to verbally assault our staff this is when I had to step in and talk to you. Locals do come to the Seagate and they have been very impressed with both their food and high level of service. More

My one and only holiday with my partner was rather horrible. We were not advised on the time of booking that there was going to be a wedding there otherwise we would have made other accommodation if we were advised. The guests that were staying there were rather rude and inconsiderate of the fact that there were other ppl staying... More

some peoples recollections of events become tarnished when they don't get what they want, it is unfortunate that you could not state the facts. your guests were sitting on peoples cars upsetting the accommodation guests, and I am not sure how we could have over charge you when you had paid for your event in advance More
