Peace and quiet abound. 3300 acres to explore. Water was so peaceful. Several people fishing. Went to Lodge. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Had lunch while on our visit. Food was excellent along with the service. Prices were very reasonable. What a great afternoon of exploring this area for the first time. Will definitely return.

This review is longer than what I usually write, because I wanted to write a rebuttal to the negative reviews for not only this lodge, but many other KY and IN state park resort lodges. We spent this past weekend at Greenbo Lake State Resort Park (Jesse Stuart Lodge), and had a very nice time. It is true that this... More

My wife and I stayed here 20 years ago and it was great. We had to book a year in advance just to get a room. Upon our most recent stay we booked 1 day in advance. A LOT had changed in twenty years. The park its self was very well kept and beautiful as we had remembered it. Very... More

Be prepared for LOTS of steps! The room was clean, and had a comfortable bed but the room definitely needed updating. The cathedral ceiling would have been nice if it didn’t have pipes across the wall for the sprinkler system. Wifi was available but was not completely reliable. I was given a room with a “good view”, but the view... More

The room was spacious and clean except for the balcony which was littered with lots of cigar and pipe ashes. The coffee maker was broke. The lodge which was built in 1971 really hasn't been kept up very well. There are many photos on the walls from James Archambeault and I'm sure they looked good 25 years ago, but now... More

My husband and I stayed for two nights in late August after school was back in session. It felt like there weren't many people there, which added to the relaxing atmosphere. We were in a two double bed room on the third floor with a cathedral ceiling. The room had a balcony overlooking the woods and lake with a partial... More

Stayed 2 nights while visiting a friend in Greenup. The lodge and rooms are clean but a bit dated. We didn't mind because outside the front door are beautiful trails to hike and deer so friendly they walk up to your car to say hello. The staff were more than accommodating. Being of an age where I count cholesterol like... More

Catfish, homemade cole slaw, green beans like gramma made... Pools were clean and fun, pontoon rental excellent and fish were biting.. Overall best stay for reasonable prices. I will be returning!!! The lodge is such a beautiful place but it is really run down now! The service is very poor and the entire place needs updated. Restaurant has issues and rooms as well. Unfriendly employees and not professional. My friends and fam had went there in the past years but not for approx. 4 yrs. ago and it was very nice... More

Lodge is showing its age. Rooms are adequate and clean. Rocking chairs on the porch and so relaxing. Go for the pool and lake or the great hikes in the park. When I was there the restaurant was understaffed the first night and it took over 1 1/2 hours to get out food. The one waitress for the whole dining... More
