The location of the resort was the best part of the stay. We went for a family reunion and we stayed in the hotel part of the lodge and the other part of my family stayed in the cabins. The hotel was by far better than the cabins. The cabins were small, the couch in the family area needed to... more

I stayed in the motel section of the resort (not the cabins). Let me start by staying that I was absolutely expecting a nasty hotel experience. I could not have been more wrong. The check-in went smooth and quick. The lobby has a beautiful fireplace and enormous plate glass windows with a stunning view of the lake. My room was... more

For at least 8 years, we have stayed at KY Dam Village for a quilt show in the area. This year we were in one of the executive cottages (3 bedroom/3 bath). As always, it was great. Friendly, helpful staff; plenty of fresh clean linens, comfortable bed, fairly clean cabin. They could use just a bit more cleaning, in my... more

We booked a family trip to Ky Dam Village online at their website. I was mislead by the pics on tehir website so upon check-in, we were a little disappointed to see out cabin was not like those pictured on their webiste. It looked more like a bath-house at a campground. It was made of cement blocks and rather unappealing.... more

We chose this site as an upgrade from Kenlake State Park. The only upgrade was the marina. The cottages were dirty, tiles missing on bathroom floor, sofas torn and/or with cigarette burns, outside doors not closing all the way, lights burned out in and outside cabin. We called maintenance twice for plumbing issues -- tub and kitchen sink not draining.... more

Our family rented three executive cabins for a family reunion. We were impressed by the spaciousness of the cabins. There was plenty of room when all 30 of us gathered together. There are also plenty of activites at or near the resort that are reasonably priced. We rented boats and paddle boats. Some of us went horseback riding. Alot of... more

The wife and I stayed here for two nights for a little in-state vacation and were not impressed. We had a coupon for a free night stay at KY state resort parks so we chose this and the Lake Barkley SRP over other local hotels. The architecture of the "lodge" (the motel-style rooms in contrast to stand-alone cabins) reminded us... more

KDSRP is located on the north end of the Land Between the Lakes (Kentucky lake side). Its fairly close to interstate 24, so if you are looking for a place to lodge I recommend this place over your typical motel. The prices are reasonable, there are plenty of amenities, the rooms are comfortable; you just can’t go wrong with a... more

This was much more then I expected for a State park resort. The hotel was fantastic and the lodge and staff was wonderful. While it was off-season the warmth of the staff and the hotel was great. I can't wait to go back again in the mid-spring to see what the area looks like in full bloom!! Rooms were very... more

If you are planning a visit to Gilbertsville, Ky please look seriously at staying at the Kentucky Dam Resort. We planned a large family gathering there to attend our nieces graduation. We rented one of the 3 bedroom cottages, while other family members had some of the 2 bedroom cottages as well as some rooms at the motel. All the... more
