Got there on Saturday after midnight as all Georgetown and Cincinnati hotels are booked. Only one working at front desk while several customers are waiting in line to check. Took more than 45 mins to check in as she was also answering the phones and giving directions at the same time. It's about 30 miles from i75 and farther if... More

Hotel is bit outdated but OK. Meeting rooms are available & good space. Just a couple of blocks from some nice little shops and food. Bar food was reasonably priced. Really looking at the water fountains outside, very relaxing. There for 2 nights and after the first one our room did not get cleaned and restocked with clean towels. Called... More

Stayed two nights, nice room, clean and comfy, ate the breakfast Buffet, very tasty and included in room rate, beautiful lobby and very convenient attached parking garage. All in all a great value with zero complaints. Beautiful Capitol of Ky, lots to see and bourbon tours just up the street.

This place need to be razed and something put in it's place. Water quantity, quality and pressure is bad. Plumbing problems, flushing commode problems. Poor customer service. We couldn't even get a wine glass from them after the bar closed even though there were glasses sitting right there. Can't find a luggage cart, too bad! The pool seems to always... More

Service was fine. Room was reasonably clean. Mattress and pillows comfortable. Good water pressure in showers. Location was great for me. The hotel is just kind of tired and worn out. Really needs a renovation. Sign on the restaurant said it was closing the end of June. Food bland and overpriced. The towels were about the size of a sheet... More

This is the worst place you want to step into when you're exhausted. This is the kind of place that makes you want "independent" hotels to go away and be replaced by bland but predictable Holiday Inns. Popcorn ceilings. "Sandy" bed. Errant tape on the A/C unit. Chipped paint and fixtures. Poor lighting. Towels like thin sandpaper. About 25 years... More

Checkin was smooth as silk. Rooms were clean and well stocked. Ac worked well and kept the room cool on a hot June night. The bed was comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was just right. These are both Hugh selling points to me when it comes to an hotel.parking was free and in a garage large enough... More

We were here for a wedding and chose a place close to the venue. The lobby was pretty and the room comfortable. We had a baby with us, so we requested cribs, one in each room depending on where the baby would be staying. The baby's mom said the one in her room was awful, and on examination, the mattress... Capital Plaza is an older hotel. It reminded me of the movie " The Shining". However, our room was updated and was clean. The pool is off to itself and was kind of dark. It is extremely close to the Department of Transportation if that is why you are staying there.

Our class just had its 20th reunion at Capital Plaza Hotel and I cannot say enough nice things about the staff and the facility! Everyone at the hotel was so friendly, helpful and accommodating. And the ballroom was the perfect place to hold our event. Classmates who came from out of town stayed in the hotel rooms and had very... More
