Fellow travelers, we are the proud owners of this former B&B. It is now our private residence. It is a beautiful home. We are restoring parts of the main house and plan a renovation of the carriage house. If you are planning a visit to Covington, KY we encourage you to enjoy our wonderful city!

The Amos Shinkle Townhouse B&B was an unexpected stop on our trip. We were car camping and decided to get off the rainy road. Looking up Covington B&B's, the Amos Shinkle house popped up first. Greeted by a man in dirty clothes who gave us a key and pointed to our room. Never welcomed us or told us who he was. Never asked us if we needed anything. The room was okay. The kitchen was dirty. The breakfast took more than an hour and was not good Service was bad - never got half &... More

After reading the previous reviews, I made a reservation at this B and B. We were not impressed. My husband and I spent one night at Amos Shinkle. Our room was in the carriage house. It was quiet; the bed and bath rooms were comfortably cool and clean. My mother, daughter, and I stayed at the Amos Shinkle Townhouse for two nights this summer. We spent a long weekend at the Amos Shinkle Townhouse and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our room in the carriage house was comfortable and quiet and the breakfasts were fabulous.

The Amos-Shinkle House reminds me of staying at my grandma's. The antiques are old and kinda rickety, the wallpaper just a little peely, the afgahns comfortable.
