The lodge was comfortable and charming in its own way. We were there in late January so it was slow, but the staff was courteous and helpful. We stayed in a two queen room in the lodge which was updated, clean, and comfortable. The falls are beautiful and the trails were a lot of fun. Watching the sun rise on... More

Just spent two nights at the Dupont Lodge at Cumberland Falls State Park. Old lodge was very charming with two stone fireplaces. The restaurant on the premises served delicious food at a very reasonable price. Staff was also very friendly, especially the front desk clerk Anthony. He was so accommodating and welcoming.. Made us feel so at home. This destination... More

We went to see the Moonbow. For that the lodge couldn't be better located. To cloudy for the Moonbow but it was close to the hotel. There was a lot of water in the river so the falls were impressive. The lodge is showing its age. Not all maintenance is being done and it is tired and worn. Nothing wrong... More

We stayed in cabin 510 and it was perfect. 2 stories, 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a full kitchen. Our cabin had 4 Queen sized beds and additional cots were available per request. Hardwood floors, 4 balconies, 3 flat screen televisions and a fireplace. We were less than 5 minutes from DuPont Lodge and the Falls. Can't wait to go... More

Stayed in cabin #523. Had to put towels on the furniture in order to sit. Pet Friendly, but charge an additional $50 even though not listed on the website. If you book on the website and get a receipt, they will charge additional $50 at check-in. Cabin is in rough shape and smells like smoke/ non-smoking room.

Good afternoon. Cabin 523 is one of the last cabins still waiting on new furniture. Updating cabins unfortunately is a slow process. The furniture is clean, but may be stained due to the age. Effective Sept 1st, all Kentucky State Parks have a $50 pet fee for cabins. We realize that pets are very important to some of our guest... More

This Buffett is outstanding for the money! $8.95 for all you can eat! 3 meats, many sides, soup & dessert! My aunt & ate 2 plates each! The service was great, too. I would give it a 5 star rating except that it is a rustic location being in a lodge. What a pleasant surprise! We had a view of... More

We stopped here for a few hours. We wanted to hike to the Cumberland falls. The about a mile hike was beautiful as well as the falls. We did see a copperhead snake on the trail so make sure to watch your step. There is a place down by the falls with snacks and a gift shop. The resort is... More

Had been several years since last visit and NOTHING changed. It is worn out...carpets stained, smells bad, had buckets throughout lobby catching rain from leaking roof, windows were filthy in restaurant. Needs total renovation. Wonderful location and great potential, but there is no pride or upkeep on the interior. Grounds were lovely!

For a relaxing, secluded weekend, this place fits the bill. Nothing flashy. Nothing luxury. Cozy, quaint, quiet, focus-and-reconnect to that special someone kind of place. Everything whispers, "that's nice ". It's far from Maui or Manhattan & you shouldn't be in this part of the country with those expectations anyway. It's Appalachia. It's woods. It's a river. Relax and take... More
