Site was large with gravel and grass, large picnic table, level site, water, electric and sewer. NO cell service available (US Cellular) nor cable TV. Campground was quiet, clean and staff was friendly.

We stayed in the Primitive/Backwood sites. The sites were a little close together in my opinion for "backwoods" but our neighbors were friendly, so all in all it wasn't sooooo bad. Other than that our stay was wonderful. We didn't utilize the onsite features (canoeing, rock wall, zip-line, ect) but still had a great experience. Definitely will stay again!!!!!!!

We recently brought our team of 14 employees to STO for a one night stay and one day trip on the river. It was an excellent experience for us. We run a small family canoe and kayak outfitting business in Kentucky as well, so it was great for our guys to see the way another premiere outfitter runs... and we... More

The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about their business. They are a fun group of people, very polite and they keep the place spotless. The campground and parking look brand new and clean. RV campsites are level gravel with a nice grassy area to picnic and hang out. This campground is only a few miles to the State park... More

My husband and I took my 11 year old brother on his first camping trip and am so glad we chose this place! The tent area was spacious and with the woods as a wonderful back drop, we really felt like we were in the middle of nowhere. The only complaint we had was that on our first night the... More

We stayed 10 days at this campground. We used it as a sleeping place. We were gone every day on excursions. The place is a destination for rafters and river activaties. The camp ground is fairly new. The grounds are nice, clean and well kept, maybe the only place in Kentucy with no trees. The bath, showers and laundry are very... More

We used this place for an overnight pitstop. It seemed like a very busy place in the morning. We arrived to our destination just before they closed the office. The staff was a bit disorganized when checking out in the morning and didn't quite know what to do. The bathrooms were very clean and the nicest bathrooms/bathhouse I've EVER SEEN!!!... More

I camped 2 nights and was impressed with the friendly staff and the nice accommodations. The camp site was clean and roomy and the bath house was a pleasant surprise with its roominess, cleanliness and modern design. Although I had no need for laundry facilities, they were up to date and clean. I will return.

We were a group of 10 and stayed for one night, we arrived too late (1 am) but we called earlier and the lady at the registration waited for us to get there! the bathrooms are private and really clean. There is a small cafe with a good menu that has really reasonable prices. They register for rafting and kayaking... More
