My 13 year old son and Is stayed here while touring around the area to visit Mammoth Cave. It's kitschy. It's not new and fancy. There's no Wi-Fi but there is a small tv. Our room was clean but run down. This is a basic accommodation that you stay at for the experience not the luxury.

What a phenomenal place!!!!!! We brought a high school and middle school group to the area for some caving and had a tremendous night stay back to the 1950s. Travel off the interstate is with the 5 minute drive to stay in this well kept vintage piece of history. Clean, comfortable, with outdoor amenities, yes the kids hit the playground,... More

We stayed for one night as part of a weekend "stay-cation" that included a trip to Kentucky Down Under. Our wigwam was #4, which was neat and clean. There were limited electrical outlets which made blow drying my hair a bit of a challenge - the outlet in the main room was loose and would not hold the plug of... More

The Wigwam Motel is an unusual, kitschy piece of 1930’s American history you can sleep in. It’s impossible not to smile and laugh when you drive up to this place. The innkeepers were friendly and offered extra towels. Close proximity to Mammoth Cave makes it a fun place to stay overnight before or after a cave tour. That said, it... More

My husband and I took our grandson (age 7) to Cave city. We stayed at Wigwam Village and my grandson was in heaven. These are old but it was clean and what you would expect. The owner was a very nice man and gave us the code for the internet. We will be returning. If you are looking for a... More

Expected the wigwams to be aged. However did not expect no heat except for a space heater the room was freezing! Then the space heater kicked the breaker no electricity. Not to mention the sheets were gross hair all over them. The bed was held together by clamps when u sat down I thought I was going 2 hit the... More

We stayed for Thanksgiving in 2014. The atmosphere is very "old school" which younger travelers may have a hard time with. Motels were meant as part of the vacation experience. You were suppose to visit with your traveling neighbors in the other wigwams while the kids played outside. Your room was for 3 purposes: Rest rooms, showers and sleeping so... More

My daughter had been pestering me for a long time to stay at this Motel/attraction. The buildings were built in the 30's. For the age of the property, it is in decent shape. The price is acceptable and it is truly a unique experience. I stayed there on January 17, 18 2015. I had no problems calling in a reservation,... More

The room was exactly what I expected. It's not a luxury hotel. It's like stepping into history, which was neat. There are minor improvements that could be made by the owners which would make a huge difference. My first suggestion would be new bed sets and linens. The playground area looked nice enough. We'd probably stay again when making the... More

This was about as expected. Service from the staff was fine. Stayed in wigwam #14 & the total for 1 night was $60.61. It was chilly outside & equally chilly in the wigwam. There was a small space heater to help take the chill out of the air. The place was neat & clean. There was enough hot water for... More
