My son and I were so excited about out trip to the WigWam Village. Our biggest mistake was not reading the reviews here first. We were orginally planning to stay 2 nights but the week before our trip we changed our plans to only stay one night-THANK GOD. Upon arriving we were a little concerned about the way the property... more

If you are looking for a 1950ish motel, this is it. Definitely not a "politically correct" place, but very quirky and kind of fun. (My kids informed me that these are concrete teepees, not wigwams and there are certainly no Southwestern tribes of Native Americans in Kentucky as the decor suggests.) The sheets were clean & soft, though the towels... more

I have wanted to stay at the Wigwam Village since I first saw it over 40 years ago as a kid. I should not have waited so long. The room was so dirty. I know it is old, but not clean. The wallpaper was peeling off. THe door had grim all over it. The bathroom floor looked like it had... more

Husband, Daughter and I stayed here for one night May 21, 2009. Our exp. was not the nightmarish experience that others have written about. I made my reservations before I read the reviews, and was very aprehensive about staying here after I read some of them. We went in expecting the worst and left saying that it was a pleasant... more

We stayed at this motel on May 20, 2008. I was so excited as I have seen it on many TV programs and loving Americana the way my family and I do, it was a no-brainer that we would stay here at some point. Now I didn't expect the Ritz-Carlton, but I was hoping that it would be clean at... more

Okay...let me start by saying we ride motorcycles in all kinds of weather so we can deal with just about anything, so this was no exception! We arrived with a group of riders, we were disappointed to find the rates went up in April (not because of the season...an overall rate hike) and even though we booked in February they... more

Please Do not stay here...I repeat If you love yourself and your kids please do not stay here, unfortanaly I stayed here and my 7 year old son ended up being rushed to the hospital when he woke looking like he had chicken pots. It was not chicken pots he was eatin' by bed bugs. I AM IN THE PROCESS... more

There’s a reason why there’s a sign saying, “absolutely no refunds.” You want to leave 10 minutes after you get into the room. We had #7. The stench of failure reeked from the humidity filled walls. There were dead bug smudges on the walls, black marks on all the doorways, the bathroom is so dirty it makes you afraid to... more

I am so glad I did not read the negative reviews here until AFTER staying in the Wigwam Village, because otherwise we would have missed out on a really fun experience. Yes it was small, old and had its issues, but our 2 year old and 6 year old absolutely loved it, and for $60 a night we were not... more

I actually was really looking forward to staying here. I booked a tee pee in March and when I showed up there was no heat in the tee pee and it was so cold I couldn't even take my jacket off. The only source of heat the manager could offer was a small space heater. I was really disappointed. I... more
