A nice place with lots to do. The pool is great The lodge room was nice. And a snow cone and train ride is a must, but please do yourself a favor, stay away from the restaurant, in needs to be resuscitated

We camped 2 nites in late July. We arrived & being a Monday the campground was pretty empty. We had reserved our spots online & we needed pull through spots with 2 together for our friends. The parking is level but there is a big step & the ground surrounding us was not level. We had to go to the... More

Reviews looked good so we booked a trailer site online for July 18-19, 2014. Just bought a 23' trailer and this was the first time using it. It was definitely a good training experience...that's for sure. We arrived about 9pm and there was no one manning the entrance gate. We found our lot OK. It was a back-in, on pavement.... More

Stayed here two nights in a cabin for a family reunion. We love that there are culdasacks of cabins so we can all be near each other. We had a standard two-bedroom cabin (NOT Executive). We arrived around 11:30 and the cabin was already ready for us. They service them at 9am each morning. The cabin was very clean and... More

This state park lodge has it all. I stayed here for 3 night during the July 4th weekend. Check in on Thursday was quick and efficient, directions to my room seemed confusing but nevertheless I found it. My room was comfortable and clean and included a small balcony facing into the forest. Some of the amenities such as mini-frig, desk... More

My friend and I stayed in the lodge at the park and found it to be very nice. The staff were helpful, and check in was easy. The room was nice. Plenty of room, clean and comfortable. Our room overlooked the pool which was nice. We had a balcony and were able to sit outside and read and just enjoy... More

For summer vacation this year, we decided to go somewhere close. We arrived at general butler state resort park on Monday, June 16, and found that the check in office was 2 miles from the front entrance and a mile from where our cottage house was located. Also, we found it impossible to use most of the utilities in the... More

Full service lots available, water, sewer, electric and more space than usual between lot. The lodge is nice and clean. Beautiful over look into a valley. Not a large park but just right if you wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle.

Outdated rooms. But for price not bad place to stay. Clean pool and lake fun with fishing and canoeing. Old putt putt course needs updating. Cant beat the old train ride $1.50. Buffet at the lodge is bit pricey. Didnt stay at campground but location looked good with water and electric hook ups. Lodge resort needs some TLC and updates.

If you are a tent camper, there are very few good sites. The one we rented had no place for a tent at all, even though I specified tent when I booked online, and was small even for an RV. We had to switch sites to 001 by the campground entrance, which was a big site by the play ground. Unfortunately,... More
