I stayed at General Butler for a board meeting and was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were a bit more hotel like than I expected, which was nice. The room was clean and conveniently located to the lodge and giant outside pool. The food at the buffett was just good home cooking food. I'll probably return with my family for a... More

Stayed here for 4th of July weekend for a family reunion. Plenty for everyone to do (hike, golf, swim, putt putt, canoe, paddle boat), nice place to eat (lodge restaurant), and good place to stay (lodge rooms, cabins, tent sites). Nice and reasonably priced place to stay for a great time close to nature!

We just happened upon this place and boy were we impressed! the view from our room was amazing! the bed was so comfortable! the lodge and our room was rustic but nice. we were driving thru so we didn't get to do anything at the resort or park. I wish I would have known about this place before!~

We recently stayed here with a family reunion and it was pretty nice. The park itself is very nice with lots of activities. It has several playgrounds, miniature golf, golf, tennis courts, a pool, campgrounds, basketball courts and picnic shelters. The resort itself is ok but could use a little TLC. The rooms are your normal room nothing fancy. The... More

I stayed at the lodge one night as I had an early morning meeting there the next day. The scenery was beautiful. There were so many things I wanted to do while I was there, but I only had one night, so I settled for dinner and a hike, both of which were right outside the lodge. When I hear... More

We had a blast building a fire, walking the trails(my 5 yr old and I hiked 4+ miles). The cabins are upgraded rustic, think nice motel. Every cabin has 2 flat screens, full kitchen, charcoal grill, and fire pit. We loved it and will be back.

Nice rooms with laminate floors and balcony. Very spacious. Would have given this park a 5 if we weren't on the second floor and could hear every move above and beside us. With the laminate floor you can hear EVERYTHING! Sounded like people moving furniture all night long. I guess it would be better on the top floor, dunno. Good... More

We were in the area for one night and got a good price at this resort. We had a dog with us so we had limited choices for places to say-not to mention that most of the other hotels in the area allowed smoking which we do not want. The signage to the lodge was had to follow--there was no... More

We came across this State Park & the Resort. We stayed one night and enjoyed our time at this resort. The room was cozy, clean, and comfortable. Included coffee maker, blow dryer, cable TV, balcony, and looked updated. Bathroom was clean. The dining room was great - nice view, great service, good quality home cooking with fantastic prices. We ate... More

This past week my wife, my dog and I visited General Butler State Park over Valentines day. We rented a cabin and stayed several days. The cabin was in generally good condition and completely furnished. The park itself while relatively small, is very scenic and quite nice. There is a small lake with non-motorized powered boats available for rent. In... More
