Great place to visit and eat. The staff was friendly. Looking forward to return. Everything is so beautiful and lots of history about the civil war. The buffet was awesome with lots of variety to choose from. All the food is home cooking with fresh vegetables and deserts.

over the years we've stayed at all the ky state parks & the lodge rooms are all very similar. what separates blue licks from the others is Paul Tierney, the recreation director. paul schedules many different events such as valentines murder mystery, canoe trips, hikes, & for the past 3 years a new years eve dinner theater with comedy &... Like everywhere else there are good room and better rooms, good views and not so good views. I love this place hidden in the hills of Kentucky. If you are tired of the big city this is the place to relax. Southern hospitality in every way. I found the rooms very clean. Dining room workers as well as the room... More

I wasn't that please with the management at the front desk. I was assigned to a ground floor and I wanted a second tier room. I was told that there was no way what so ever to change my room due to a full night. Then I asked why I was placed on the first floor in the first place... More

Management very nice at check in....room was quite large...king with sofa and chair...huge deck with table & chairs...very clean....large bathroom....mini kitchenette.....was located on the lower level so not much of a view....and awkward to get your luggage to the room....would not call it handicap accessible. Restaurant closes early for dinner unless it's busy had the buffet.. was just ok....breakfast buffet... More

I've stayed at this Kentucky State Park a couple of times for business, and really haven't had the opportunity to use it for recreation; in this very rural part of the state, there are few other options. Though the room was clean, the linens, blankets, and bed cover really could stand a good cleaning. There was a bit of a... More

We go here several times a year. Mostly camping. The campground is small but adequate. Nice nature programs by both Tierneys. We have stayed in the lodge when our town has had two ice storms over the years. Some how the lodge doesn't loose power. The staff here is great. The older servers have mostly gone and young ones have... More

Stayed in a lodge suite for 2 nights including New Year's Eve. The suite was nice but definitely needed some updating. Old tv, furniture, window treatments and...wait for it....bed that comes out of the wall! Yep when you walk in, you think "where will we sleep, etc?" But then (just like when we were on our honeymoon 12 yrs ago)... More

We really enjoyed our stay in one of the cottages at Blue Licks Battlefield State Park. The lodge is close by and serves a good buffet. There is little to do in the off-season (fall) but that was fine with us. Quiet abounds. The cottages overlook the Licking River and are spacious and clean. The staff is sort of typical... More

This is our favorite midway stop between central Ohio and Tennessee. It's obvious that the property is older ( bathroom fixtures, etc.), but is immaculately clean. The beds are comfortable, but nothing special. The heat/AC unit needs a good cleaning, but otherwise the room was very clean. We have stayed on the ground level each time, and the patios are... More
