Everything was top notch. Gorgeous views. Bedrooms were very comfortable. Ideal for large families. Our group ranged from 3 years old to 85 years and we all had many activities to enjoy. The staff are very helpful.

We stayed at Cliffview Lodge and the 3 cabins in walking distance for a weeklong family reunion following a family wedding a couple of hours away in Louisville. It was perfect for the 54 of us, most of whom had never been in Kentucky before. The lodge had a large room perfect for our dinners together and for games afterward.... More

We just spend the weekend at Cliffview for a friends wedding. It was gorgeous and a great space for the event. The lodge is really large with multiple rooms, a kitchen, and a large dinning room. There are also multiple cabins within walking distance that people stayed at. This is a great space for a family reunion as well.

I stayed here with my 15-year old daughter and her friend for a couple of nights. We really enjoyed the stay and found it to be perfect for our adventures at Red River Gorge - the ziplining experience is a must. The resort has a wonderful homey feel and I would stay here again in a heartbeat!!! Jim and Wendy... More

We stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin at the Cliffview Resort. It was secluded enough so we did not have immediate neighbors, extremely clean, had many modern conveniences (heat/air, ceiling fans, nice bathrooms, full kitchen, clean hot tub), and a beautiful view of the surrounding forest and cliffs. We booked online, paid online (with a credit card), and immediately received... More

This is a hiking and rock climbing area. The accommodations fit the purpose. We spent 2 night here and it was very nice. The most important thing however, was the service and hospitality. Wendy and Jim were AMAZING. They worked hard to make you feel at home and the succeeded at every turn. If you're coming to the Gorge you... More

The Red River Gorge area of Kentucky is a beautiful area and worth the drive. The Cliffview resort is a small and intimate. Nothing fancy, but perfect. You have gorgeous views from the wraparound porch. You can sit in a rocking chair or swing and just enjoy nature. The lodge is actually built on a cliff so the view is... More

We visited the Cliffview Resort over Memorial Day Weekend with several other couples. The resort and the hotel rooms are very clean and comfortable. The rooms that we stayed in were on the backside of the resort and walked out onto a large deck that contained hanging swings that overlooked a nice wooded area. The only downfall to the resort... The hotel is situated within a huge gated complex which includes small cottages over a vast area. Quiet is assured but it is far away from everithing else. Depending on your expectations, this might be positive, but bear in mind that there is no dinner whatsoever within the gated area and all dinner options outside are definitely far away.

Took my kids to the lodge during their spring break. Loved the lodge, the scenery and the wonderful staff. The room was very clean, and the decor had a great cabin feel. The staff booked me in room 101 which had an awesome view of the lake on one side and the gorge on the other. The swings on the... More
