Staying in a pre-civil war home, i wasn't sure what to expect. The house was remarkably restored, so there is a private bathroom in each room. 15 foot ceilings, so mauch character. Our room was very clean and the common area in the home was more than adequate to relax and enjoy the company of the other house guests. The... More

This was my first time ever at a B&B, was there with a group of 12 or so doing the Kentucky Bourbon Trail (distilleries in Frankfort and Bardstown). Some details. --Location is terrific, right off the Bluegrass Parkway --The winery and the tastings were top notch. Great selection of wines for all palates. --We had a package that included dinner... More

We weren't really sure what to think at first. We got lost on our way there and then neither of the hosts were home when we arrived. We were worried we made a mistake by booking a room here. Boy, were we wrong. A lady at the winery checked us in and showed us to our room. The place is... More

I have a 200 character minimum from Trip Advisor. Here is my minimalist review: 1. I can't add much to what else has been said. 2. The Excellent rating is justified. 3. Table wide, yummy Southern breakfast is at 8:30AM. PERIOD. 4. Find the burnt out mansion that was connected to the plantation by a tunnel. Be amazed. 5. The... More

Several years ago my wife and I decided to do the bourbon trail. Since she is not a bourbon fan I thought I would treat her to the B&B and wine. She does enjoy wine. I have to admit that I was a little nervous. Boy did that change soon after we met Carolyn. Later that evening we met Eddie.... More

My husband and I were looking for a last minute B&B in the Bardstown area and found Springhill Winery nearby. Eddie warmly greeted us on Saturday evening and we had a very comfortable stay in the Rose Room. We woke up to the smell of breakfast the next morning. Both Carolyn and Eddie prepared a delicious feast/breakfast before we had... More

My daughter and I needed a quick get away to relax and enjoy each others company for her short break home to visit. The Mansion was absolutely beautiful. The architecture in itself - breath taking. We loved our cozy room and delicious glass of wine from the vineyard itself. Sheets were so soft and room clean. Homemade sweets to snack... More

We were in town to visit friends, and this B&B did not disappoint. Eddie and Carolyn were very friendly and accommodating and we enjoyed a top-notch breakfast with them and the other guests. Sweet potato pancakes w/ cream cheese filling?! You bet! I believe we stayed in the Merlot Room and we were amazed at how big the guest rooms... More

My husband and I stayed here one night for a trip to Bardstown. Overall this was a very nice place with one exception being the bathroom. More on that later.. We stayed in the Chardonnay Suite which is one of the smaller rooms. Everything was very clean and the house was decorated nicely with antiques everywhere. There was a small... More

The hostess was knowledgeable and friendly. The "included" wine tasting was a treat. The room was spacious and historically lovely. The atmosphere quiet and serene. The Sunday breakfast was over the top delicious with more tastes than could be sampled. The story of the plantation and the Civil War skirmish by the owner completed the stay.
