I read some reviews commenting about noise, not dark enough at night and not enough hot water. They were all right, but if you can overlook and adapt, you will enjoy your stay. We had a corner king room overlooking the street so we had noise and street lights. We were on the second floor so we creaked for the... More

We went to see a show a couple exits away and thought this would be a good chance to try out the inn. We had breakfast once before at the inn and it was good. This time we had our little 9 lb dog with us and was a little surprised that the extra fee was $50.00. That seemed a... More

I requested a king bed got a full- no central air only window unit- no drawers for clothes had to request a luggage rack to keep luggage off the floor - curtains would not close - chair was a straight chair not comfortable to sit in except maybe to put on shoes - room so small you could barely walk... It is a very nice hotel overall, but the Green part is over-rated. The maid I asked said she used Clorox in the bathroom. There are safer disinfectants to use, and still kill as many germs as Clorox. I believe this is one of the most important aspects of being Green or environmentally friendly, because it it the thing that... More

I live in a town nearby and have taken out of town guest there a number of times. Went there for a birthday dinner. They have a new chef, a new menu, and new pricing. Very expensive dinner, small portions, and really small menu. This all has changed in the last six months. Need to bring Chef Newman back. The... More

The gentlemen who greeted us at the front door and who checked us in were very nice, and the servers in the restaurant were very nice, but only the front desk guy was good at his job. The bellman watched me take my bags out of the trunk, put them on the sidewalk and take them upstairs after I parked... More

Berea is an interesting historic town. We didn't know a whole lot about it when we made the reservation. In fact, we didn't know it was a "dry" community, but fortunately we had our own wine. The Boone Tavern Hotel was all we hoped it to be for a historic inn. It had been renovated in the past 5 years... More

There is no particular need to stay at this hotel unless you find yourself at Berea College. It is an older, dampish property that relies on the Berea College trade. Note that it is in a dry county (there are many in Kentucky) which means that the old fashioned menu in the restaurant can't be washed down with anything substantial.... More

I had never heard of Berea College or the town. My husband found the hotel on Historic Hotels of America and we decided to make a weekend trip. So glad we did. Very relaxing. Some nice shopping, loved meeting the students and I went on two lone hikes, very beautiful - Lookout point and to some Falls. The hotel was... More

My friends and I had a wonderful weekend stay at the Boone Tavern Inn. The hotel is lovely, the staff was friendly and the town is charming. We enjoyed the sunset from the rocking chairs on the porch. We will definitely return again.
