We stayed one night in the Bourbon Loft in downtown Bardstown, it was wonderful. Great location. Nicely decorated. And the banana bread in the morning was delicious. The loft is separated by two doors - one room is the bedroom/bathroom and the other is a sitting area with breakfast table and refrigerator. When we come back to do the bourbon... More

My party of three were beyond delighted with the beautifully decorated and appointed Millstone Cottage. It was a pleasure to relax in the the comfy living room, delight in the super-spacious bathroom (with jacuzzi and a separate shower), and rest on good mattresses with reading lamps bedside. We didn't want to leave. My only proviso is that the bathroom is... More

Yes, the house is older. We stayed in the John Fitch House. But it is clean and has more then you need. WiFi worked great. It was easy even for one night. After driving all day, it was the perfect walk a few blocks to downtown. Quiet neighborhood to stay in.

I recently had the opportunity to return to Bardstown and The Colonel's Cottage Inns. I did not intend originally to post a review, but happened to see one that was so contrary to any experience I've had, that I am compelled to speak out. All of the cottages are private, quaint and attractively decorated in period furniture with clever and... More

There were many things that were disappointing. We are pretty easy to please but this was not great. We originally booked the place for 99 per night. We added one person. We stayed four nights. They drafted our account for 730. Not sure how that works. The house we stayed in the first night was dirty and smelled old and... More

I am so sorry that you were under the impression that this cottage was $99 per night. Our cottages start at $99 per night, but that is not the cottage you reserved on line. You requested a cottage that slept 4 Guests, and our $99 cottage does not. When you reserve one of our 4 units on line, the price... More

Great location, great price and great privacy. The Cottage is perfect for a girls get away which is what we did for 2 evenings. 2 bedrooms, sitting area, kitchen and large bathroom. Very clean and comfortable. Loved it!

We drove by the cottage and were disappointed with its street appeal and thought we made a big mistake. However, when we opened the door and stepped inside all of our concerns disappeared. The cottage is very well appointed and was very clean. The kitchen was stocked with breakfast groceries (coffee, fresh fruit, pastries, juice etc.). We were pleasantly surprised... More

Stayed at this cute unhosted B & B for two nights & enjoyed the convenience of the location. As other reviews note it has two bedrooms but there is no door between the two. No door between the bed and bedrooms either. So it really lends itself for a family and not a couple seeking any privacy. You must walk... More

The Colonel's Millstone Cottage is an ideal place for a night at Bardstown. It's beautifully furnished, with a living room, two bedrooms (one with two doubles, the other with a queen), a large bathroom with shower and jacuzzi tub, and a kitchen laid out with all the ingredients for a cold (juice, yogurt, cereals - hot and cold - toast, muffins... We stayed in the Bourbon Loft. Nicely decorated and the breakfast was great. They were doing some remodeling downstairs so it was a little noisy and smell of paint but not too bad. The separated living and sleeping quarters was a bit awkward but since the restaurant downstairs was closed it was not a problem. It had one of those... More
