My Partner and myself stayed overnight. Nothing paranormal happen during our stay but the place does have some vibes about it. The room itself was nice and clean. We had nice views and the bed was wonderful. It is pretty cool to stay at such an historic place. The price is fair and I believe it's the best place to... More

Great price awesome staff! I am a skeptic when it comes to paranormal, but now I believe. Stayed in Washington Irving room. After 2am - all hell breaks loose. Running, banging, children yelling. Loud knocking on my door, takes me 1 second to answer & NO ONE is there (we were the only ones there-staff left an hour before "noises")... More

Loved the atmosphere. Staff was very friendly and informative. Food was delicious. Location was great, right across from the visitors center. Stop in and eat, then go get your bourbon trail tshirts!! Order the drink made with buffalo trace's bourbon cream. Yum !

We stopped here for a late lunch after driving part of the Bourbon Trail. This is an amazing building with lots of historical items. We had drinks in the bar before being seated for lunch. The food was good and the bar menu is quite extensive with lots of bourbon choices. The tavern is located on a main street so... More

We took visiting family here for lunch on 5 May 2012, but the drop down menu for the review doesn't go back that far. We only came for lunch, so I can't really say anything about the rooms. Very interesting place to visit with a lot of history. The kids really liked it since it is supposedly haunted and has... More

I loved the Old Talbott Tavern. Seldom does one get the opportunity to literally wander through such a uniquely historic place at all hours and feel the ambiance where celebrated authors wrote and person's who became iconic stood. We stayed in the Washington Irving suite during the week, and had no inconveniences. We were well warned of the possibility of... More

When I booked my room for my stay during the Bourbon festival, I was told that during the festival there will be music in the bar so it will be noisy (as you can hear the music in the room). I stood in the Washington Irving Suite which is directly over the bar. I said that's ok, I figured a... More

If you love history and nostalgic places to stay, then this is your place! Very clean, and comfortable. The resturant has some of the best food. My favorite was the pot roast. I know you can make this at home, but you have to try theirs and see if you can do better. I cannot wait to return

This place is very unique, built back in the late1700's. It is NOT an elegant hotel, but if you are looking for a quirky place to stay this will fit the bill..They have a great veranda to sit and enjoy a nightcap. You can watch the night club action from a distance and be glad you don't have to participate.... More

The Best Western Motel in Bardstown was a great place to stay! The room was very clean, spacious, with amenities like microwave, small fridge, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, and a coffee maker. The lobby furniture was very unusual and quite unique. The staff at the motel were extremely friendly and accommodating. The Stephen Foster Story is always wonderful.... More
