While visiting Kentucky's Bourbon and Wine Trial and visiting the countryside, I stayed in the Abraham Lincoln Suite. The rich historical site was chock full of antiques, a comfy bed & a balcony for smokers. We ate dinner in the Tavern and it was a scrumptious chicken pot pie. We saw no ghosts, but that was ok. Passersby hailed you... More

While on the Bourbon Trail in Kentucky we stayed at the historic Old Talbott Tavern. Abe Lincoln stayed here with his family when he was 7 years old. Daniel Boone, Jesse James, and others had also spent time there. It is said that you may see the ghost of Jesse James but he didn't stop by to see us. The... More

Well - unknown to us at the time of planning our vacation, there was a huge FFA convention in town. Almost all the rooms were booked and the nearest one we found was ll the way in Lexington. We were still completing our Bourbon Trail and stopped in here after a tour, and I thought: Heck, why not ask if... More

We had amazing service from Kaitlin! She answered all of our silly out of Towner questions. The food was great! I love the ranch and bbq sauce!!! Everything was delicious and the service was great! Thank you for making our experience very enjoyable!

We recently spent a couple of days in the Bourbon capital of the world, Bardstown, KY. We chose to stay in the center of it all, at the The Old Talbott Tavern (and bed and breakfast). We weren't sure what to expect given the age of the building, but were pleasantly surprised at the decor and comfort of the room.... More

We ate here in May for lunch while we were on the bourbon trail. I got the cheeseburger and fries and they were delicious and if I remember correctly the gf got a NLT and she was satisfied. The food came out nice and hot and the service was on par.

My family ate here often when I was growing up, so I was very excited to bring my granddaughter back to the Talbott. I booked the General's Quarter's Room, because it had town canopy beds, and I knew she would love the "princess" beds. The room was very large and comfortable, but the bathroom was really tiny. That didn't bother... More

This review is for the food. A while back, my wife and I went and had a delicious meal. Well, that has very unfortunately changed. We were back for dinner (same menu) and things have changed for the worst. The cook, or chef, must have a thing for pepper because just about everything had pepper in it, even the green... More

It's definitely on old style B&B, but that's what's expected. Very accommodating to our quick departure and served us some fresh biscuits and coffee before we left. Rooms were clean. Antique beds were comfortable considering they're antique in style. Was in town for Kentucky Bourbon Trail for work, and this is a great location for visiting Willett, Heaven Hill, or... More

Having lived in Bardstown and visited the Inn many times I made the choice to bring two of my friends to experience a night in the Inn with dinner. I was told there would be no charge for the most uncomfortable roll away ever, there was. The bathroom in the Generals Room is so small you can bearly get in and... More
