I was in Wichita for a (don't laugh!) organists' convention and The Hotel at Old Town was our headquarters. While assured that such independent properties like The St. Paul Hotel, the lamented "Ponch" in New Orleans or the various Peabody properties were well regarded, I none the less thought "Yeah, but Wichita?" Boy, was I wrong! The hotel is about... more

We stayed one night over Memorial Day weekend. It was on a Sunday night so the downtown area was pretty quiet. Our room was at the front of the hotel so we could hear some music playing from the venues until 1:45 am. We would ask for a room on the garage side if we decide to stay there again... more

I was scheduled to attend a conference in Wichita and the hotel appeared to be the best placed and most highly rated on tripadvisor. It turned out to be even better than I expected. The staff are amazingly welcoming and helpful. Everything works, the rooms are comfortable and spacious and the location is perfect. It's a 10-block walk to the... more

I stay here all the time when I visit Wichita on business. You would think Frank and the Rat Pack would be walking through the door. Piano Bar is very relaxing. After a long day and evening I have the "After Dinner Mint" drink. Fantastic! The staff is wonderful. Rooms are very comfortable. I get a room that ovrlooks the... more

We had initially made reservations for a suite at the Comfort Inn South 5 months in advance for our wedding night, but come the wedding day the Comfort Inn has no record of our reservation (even though I had a confirmation code) and they had already given the suite away. My wife's bridesmaids came to the rescue and cancelled the... more

I first stayed here on business in June of 2008. After moving to Wichita, I brought my wife to stay here because of the wonderful experience. For the first two hours of the stay, we walked around the hotel taking pictures and absorbing the feel. This hotel is a piece of Wichita history that should not be missed. The staff... more

First of all, I must mention even though my studio suite did not have a bathtub, some of the rooms have a jacuzzi. There is wireless and complimentary laundry facilities in this four story hotel. The original construction of this historical building was completed in 1906. The architecture of the original structure incorporated both Italianate and Romanesque styles at the... more

Had a very nice stay here. Located in the middle of the Old Town entertainment district and close to many restaurants and bars. Nice, refurbished old building and looks great. Rooms on the 4th floor had very high ceilings. Our room had a balcony that looked into the atrium and was fun. Almost silly to say, but one of the... more

I trusted the positive reviews here and decided to stay at the Hotel at Old Town. I wasn't disappointed. The hotel is lovely. The staff is terrific; the hotel breakfast is great. They don't charge for wireless internet. They don't have a restaurant, but it's in the middle of an entertainment district with tons of restaurants. I called a local... more

Stayed at the hotel a year ago and fell in love. Came back to stay again last week for one night. Everything from linens to bathroom accessories are deluxe. Friendly staff, hot breakfast buffet, drink coupons, great atmosphere. Would definately come back. A 5 star hotel and great value for the money. more
