We traveled to Wamego, Kansas to see The New Christy Minstrels on 25 April 2009. Upon arrival we were very impressed with the town. It had been established long ago but was very clean and well kept. Our bed and Breakfast, The Eagle View Inn, was just across the street from the Colombian Theater where The New Christy Minstrels were going to perform. Down the street from the Colombian Theater was the Oz Museum which was a delightful collection of anything and everything to do with The Wizard of Oz. Close by was the Oz winery which was filled with lots of excellent wines. The Colombian Theater is very well maintained and has a "World Class" show every weekend. The Eagle View Inn sits on top of The Friendly Cooker which has tasty, attractive, well planned meals at all hours. The town is just over 4000 people and was a wonderful surprise to us.
